So by the end of it all, they ended up being friends…or something like that ? Acquaintances ? Nonetheless, ending was pretty rushed and was very sudden…

So I made it until chapter 9.5 I think? Why couldn’t I continue further despite the main couple being extremely cute? Well it’s because of the pedophilia. I was willing to read further despite the student teacher relationship because I was hoping it would’ve been framed as a bad thing...(which, fair enough makes me the dumb one) and yeah no it only got worse.

They start ‘dating’ when she’s in middle school and the teacher is an university student. Which means she’s an adult already. It’s even creepier when the adult in this relationship even says something along the lines of it not even being legal. So there’s definitely self awareness coming from the adult here.

Basically;
Dropped because this author seems to think teacher student relationships are fine to normalize and the same as wlw or girls loving girls.

EXACTLY!!! Just ruins the story knowing that a FULL ADULT is grooming and ... dating a child fully aware ???? Like what ???? It's so damaging for lesbians and stories like this because it plays into the negative stereotype, of lesbians (or gays in general) being predatory and praying on young girls/boys, which is wrong.

Actually, more and more Yuri/Shojo-Ai stuff just portrays things like pedophilia and incest (mother/daughter...in some mangas) as being acceptable...
Yuri is just depicted in a way that as long as both characters are female then ANYTHING is acceptable...Which is extremely disturbing and harmful if young people read this and think that it's okay for a 15 years old to date a 30 years old. This genre is just normalizing some of the harmful things and the ever craving and hungry community/readers just pander up to it. Anybody who says otherwise gets attacked or told ''don't read it if you don't like it'' or ''go read vanilla stuff then''.
    It's sad actually.

Krissy's questions ( All 2 )

It was something about how one of the characters (or both idk) couldn't sleep, so his coworker helped him out by being his sleep-friend (there was some weird term for it) and it was a popular thing friends do with each other

So this is really more a rant that question but i do have one question at the end, so i'll just get on with it.

(i'm tipsy and just in general suck at getting my points through but please bare with me)

I don't get why people like children/children looking characters to be sexualised. I've seen people try and justify their likes of loli's or shotacon saying it's just fiction or "the character is actually thousands years old so it's ok" and it's just? gross?

Yeah it's just fiction but fiction affects reality and sexualising a child, even if it's a fictional, is wrong. I obviously don't mean that just because you read shotacon or something featuring a loli, it means that you're a pedophile or that you agree with real life children to be sexualised.

And no, just because the character is a thousand or something old, it doesn't make it okay to sexualise them. They still look like kids, and that's most probably the reason people like them.

Still though, for any adult to be making or reading those types of manga...what goes on in their head?
why?

I guess the main thing about this is that i don't get why anyone would read/watch ANYTHING that involves a child looking character being sexualised.

And so that's why i'm asking if anyone can explain this to me because my dumbass genuinely does not know shit about this.

i agre with you those fucking pedo are those fucker who like this shit and they probly mostling some child they should be killed and i hate the most is hentai where they use child looking person to sexualise them they are freaks and nasty shit on this earth

    Satan™ August 10, 2019 12:32 am

Same here, I keep trying to say "it's fiction" and while I know that most people who read shota/loli stuff are appalled at real-life children being sexualized, I still feel so weird about shota/loli manga or anime. It definitely throws me off.

    Noree August 10, 2019 2:50 am

It really is the worse. Recently, I just witnessed an actual 11-year old retweet lolicon hentai on their twitter page unironically. The account was later suspended after people voiced their concerns over the person's page and it did reveal that it wasn't a troll but an actual child. This shxt can actually manipulate real kids into thinking its okay, lolicon/shotacon has been used to groom kids, why would you want to see children in sexual positions? I'm just so confused and frustrated on why people actually consume this content without feeling guilty and find excuses to make it morally right to do so like ugh!

    saru August 10, 2019 6:56 am

My lord.. that's such a disturbing event. I completely agree, and I honestly think it could be due to the harmful representations going on in anime culture.
There are way too many characters drawn with childlike features (and/or that are obviously children) being represented as love interests for protagonists that are teenagers or young adults. At some point, they even become love interests for the fully grown audience (read: waifu culture). It is so problematic to the point that it becomes fetishism for people consuming 18+ content.

    To conclude, I say "barf".
