I've paused this when Han Garam found about photoshoots and I come back to all this.
And I'm not talking about the story. I'm talking about comments.
People, if you want a story where characters are already developed and can communicate well, this is not for you.
What we see here is their different ways of thinking. For Christ's sake, we get both their perspectives and their thinking. I understand both sides.
Of course they don't understand each other then (Garam understands some things, but he has his own issues which prevents him from acting), and frankly, I do dislike they just don't go right out and say their opinions.
But that is the point. They are still learning about each other. I mean, we all know how it started.
And wouldn't it be boring to read if there are no problems in a relationship? Like this, we can see them grow. Sure, they are still at the start. And personality doesn't change overnight.
But.. We all see Jaehyuk crying for the first time. My heart ached when they both felt shitty. I don't get that feeling with most things, but this story is giving me the feels.
And let's not forget-! The reason why Garam is acting like this. Giving his past and what he's been through, adding Jaehyuk and his past with girls, on top of that, the reason why he didn't give the rings in the first place is what Jaehyuk's mom said. That probably gave Garam a pause (it all started going down hill from that moment. I'm sure the parents will be back).
Also, we need to remember, we are the readers who know both sides. Jaehyuk doesn't know what Han Garam was talking about with his parents, he doesn't know about the rings as well! And Garam doesn't know how much Jaehyuk is hurt because he is not showing it! Not in a healthy way, at least!
Let's be real here, it will take a while for them to develop fully. It's like that in real life. And because of that, it feels real to me. Messy. But because this is still fiction, I'm sure they'll come to understanding and have a happy ending! And I'm here for it!!
Indeed. A lot of the readers are probably used to the generic manhwas where one side is better than the other or other cliches that bl has. The conflict that Jaehyuk and Garam has is complicated. That's what makes it interesting and sets it apart from other stories since we barely see conflict of this magnitude from other bls. And just as you said, they are still learning. It's natural for couples to have fights and even have some break ups.

People here really like seeing Jaekyung cry. And I don't blame them, I'm the same
