This is the start of the biggest transition of Michael and Ireen's relationship.
And I really love the novel version of this comic. Esp that time when Ireen died and how he discovered Ireen's sufferings just to be able to live quietly behind his shadow. I admire all the efforts Michael did just to meet Ireen again in those uncertain lifetimes. I guess Michael was able to repay Ireen's sacrifice just to save his life. So fair enough, Michael's love and devotion to Ireen will not be put in vain.
P.S. I'm excited for the next chap because it is really the most eventful moment we are waiting for. *finger cross*

Well, that dungeon they went in is the start of something exciting. A monster will catch Michael and will make him and Ireen stuck in the unknown dungeon for about 10 days and for a whole month in the real world. Their friends will be able to go back and be waiting for them to come back.
And during those time in the dungeon, they will spend time in a lake expressing their love with each other. So i hope the comics will show a lil glimpse of intimacy because its finally the time.
Its in this time that Irene and Michael will have a good time together. Im excited for the progress of their relationship. I believe in the next chapter or so something steamy will unfold.

I'm glad they're starting to narrate Michael's perspectives. Of course I want the storyline to progress faster but beyond all that, I'm more obsess with how good the artwork is. I'm still into slow paced perfect art than low quality and boring storyline. So yeah, I'm loving every bit of suspense on exposing Michael's intentions. So nice and heartwarming.
Maybe, in their previous life after Ireen's death Michael discovered Ireen's sufferings just to earn 100k golds but still chose to sacrifice herself just to purify him. But when he was about to see Ireen and apologize to her he discovered that Cecilia's the one behind Ireen's death.

Michael had fallen for Irene the moment she had asked him to b his pair......since he grew up in temple he had a hard time to understand his own feelings.....he tried to stay away from her to sort out his feelings and not to show it to Irene. But everything he did only made Irene the eyesore n Cecilia took advantage of it. After Michael got injured lost his mind n spend the n8 with Irene, he was disgusted with himself so he ran away. He got himself excommunicated to be with her. By the time he returned to propose to Irene she was dead. Only after her death Michael slowly came to know about all hardships she had faced. And after confirming Cecilia deliberately sent here to the dungeon, he brutally massacred her family, Knights n maids, then count rhodium and everyone in his estate. After which he went on to massacre every single monster to reverse time with the help of an artifact....some thousand times I think. BTW that artifact is the main villain. But he never once blamed or hated Irene. That man is just obsessed with her.
New timeline Michael is the king of all monsters.

It doesn't deal with time reversal....it's more like the artifact kept creating new worlds but none of them had Irene in it. So after going through that cycle thousands of times Michael finally meets Irene in this world. This Michael is the og Michael from the og world. Rest everyone belongs to this new world. This world actually doesn't have a Michael. So it's Irene's 2nd life but Michael's life is continuing from the very beginning
Hawt dayum, glad to know my running theory was mostly right. Just not the part about the version of him for this timeline... That wasn't even on my thoughts.
Im a bit worried as well because it seems like Michael can control the demonic energy in his body. So Im guessing maybe he's been having an agreement with someone who can return to the past. And for him to be considered a paladin, having a demonic energy may seems so strange and unheard of.

From the og timeline, he has been continuously killing monsters to fulfill certain conditions to rewind time. But the artifact instead of rewinding, creates copy of the og world where Irene died. None of the worlds it created were perfect so there were always some differences n Irene was always absent in every one of them. So Michael had to keep on killing n killing monsters in every new world to start again. The miasma accumulated in him since there was no purifier and it ultimately turned him into a monster.....n then the king of all monsters because the net miasma in him became more than any existing monster. He's able to wield it freely without letting it slip. Besides throughout the novel, there was not much mention or exhibition of holy power. This story is mostly like guides n espers

I really do love the artwork and ive been following this comic for a while.. And the plot never really fail to amaze me.. Great artwork and storyline.. Michael is way too handsome and ireen is too innocent and pure. I wish we can see the perspective of michael soon. Since hes attitute is too different from when ireen is not yet incarnated. Hes becoming more affectionate, clingy and a bit obsessive.
We have a long long way before seeing his pov in the manhwa, but it was worth it
Michael's pov are far more detailed in the novel. Hopefully we'll see that captured by the artist too, we are too far for his pov but it'll be worthwhile.
Its a regretful plot. Its way too tragic as well. Its like all happy endings were meant to be ending... Or good partnership is very fucked up. It has lots of 'what ifs'. Like if Summer didn't die and end up marrying Noah. Or River never had an amnesia and ended meeting Julian again. I hope his mother didn't meddle their relationship when they were little. This is a f*cking devastating plot. But I still manage to read it. Well
Its so heartbreaking how Layla suffered in her younger years. Moving from one relative to another. Then with a spur of luck coming from a concerned suggestion of a man to move to another place and meet the person on the paper he wrote... changed Layla's fate for the better.
Being ridiculed, insulted, humiliated and looked down to just because she happens to be a orphan is the worst scenario she can possibly experience. Its like being trampled more than being an orphan itself. Rubbing salt to an already existing wound that doenst heal. That's why she hated being pitied by the nobles. She just want to be treated equally or with dignity. She knows her place. She doesnt dream too much. She stayed in that dream of living simply beside the person who raised her.
Beyond all that she manage to live with a right amount of peace and integrity.
Of course I mostly hated the Duke's obsession. Its like executing his brattiness just because he's a noble. And that obesession is caused by Layla's reluctance to win him over. I guess thats how its happens when you meet someone who doenst try to catch your attention... They would feel rejected that as human nature would try his best to defile her just so she can notice his existence. Perhaps, the Duke just expect her to win him over but experience the opposite.
And I really enjoy and adore the art of this comic. Its as good as the art of Holy Night: My husband is definitely a paladin. Very outstanding artwork..
