the first chap pretty much summarizes it all! the mc was accidentally created (he’s a doppleganger, so he has someone who already exists face) but he can’t just join the humans and function in society he has to take someone’s identity, so his creator tells him to kill this guy who has no family or basic relationships so he can then become him. if he doesn’t then he himself will die so the beginning is just him trying to kill the guy
