I don't know if anyone caught it but Seungho started developing a soft spot for the painter quite early on. The first time he saw Nkyum crying, it triggered something in him basically. From there he displays pretty blatant favoritism towards Nkyum--the leniency he gives him time and time again and also the ever increasing touches/caresses. If it was anyone else they would've been gone a long time ago. Seungho is a walking dichotomy when it comes to the painter really lol. Note that although Nkyum is a ''peasant' but Seungho always levels with him, in that he even physically squats down to talk to him etc (partly probably because he admires his face as well as reactions). As much as he smacks him around he's also super gentle with him and again the patience he gives him which he gives to no one else. You'll see more of the blatant biasness in future chapters I'm sure lol. Poor Nkyum though, Seungho is obviously a pretty crazy guy with huge issues. For instance, he's quite possessive of him without realizing it already. He grabs Nkyum's face like he's his to touch without hesitation. He told the guys he was boinking that he would *only* paint for him etc. Threw out one of them for talking shit about him even. You can even say he partly* wanted to meet the teacher as well because he was subconsciously jealous a bit. A new foreign feeling for him I'm sure that he isn't aware of. He really didn't have to blackmail Nkyum. Instead he could've used other more painfully effective methods to get him to paint as he's threatened him with time and again (like the straw mat beating or something with his sword like he was going to do so in the beginning of their first meet up). The teacher was someone Nkyum spoke so highly about and Seungho took note that his demeanor changed when he said the teacher came for him. Yup, the painter's in for a rough ride lol.
