I dont like how the attention leads up to just Kouji and Yuki :l Wat about Shin??? ;-; He's also important. Awww Why can't there be an equal threesome?? SHARE SOME EQUAL TRIANGLE LOVE (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 Where is the love?? Where is the love, the love?? *refers to people/fans*

Actually, i saw the raws and that there were some missing chapters before Ch.3 which was why it seemed confusing. Ch.3 is apparently the last chapter for that couple. I really dont favor threesomes because theres always unbalance of love or no love. This threesome couple is like this in my mind: Kouiji who likes topping Shin and Yuki, basically he's here for sex → Yuki who really loves Shin → Shin who feels the need to be in charge/protect Yuki and Kouiji. Well, yeaaa this is mostly for the sex which is nice once in a while. I just dont favor the jumpy plotline. It would be amazing to see a nice plot line with a threesome couple that shares equal love <3 I think Choco Vanilla Strawberry would be one xD i love that one. When i eat ice cream, i'll always think of that manga.

There are yaoi that has love. Like the Junjou Romantica, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Viewfinder, Love Neko, and etc. Plus Yaoi is not always porn. People call it porn because of the sex. Theres a difference between porn and yaoi. There can be a shounen ai, yaoi manga like Super Lovers that has less bed action. Yes, i see that there are yaoi mangas that just have sex and no plotline which is also fine. But most of the yaoi mangas i've read, have a plot that makes the characters fall in love.

You misunderstood my comment, actually I wasn't clear in my writing. Yaoi has lots and lots of love. THIS yaoi didn't, and it reminded me of a gay porn video. That was the meaning behind my "not a lotta love" statement. I apologize for not writing more clearly and causing confusion. That said...

Yaoi is porn, always. Porn is also called porn because of the sex. There is NO difference between yaoi and porn because pornography (porn) is defined as: "printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity".
Yaoi is restricted to, and written for, audiences over 18. The same restrictions apply to porn. This is due to explicit sexual content. Shounen ai is written for audiences 14-17 with no minimum age restriction. This is due to the lack of "explicit" sex. "Love" is not what differentiates these two categories - explicit sex is the difference. "Porn", as a term, does not ONLY apply to videos, although colloquial speech uses it frequently for this purpose. "Porn" can be in the form of a novel, magazine, article, painting, drawing, digital art media, photograph, movie, or manga.
When a manga has been tagged with both "yaoi" and "shounen ai", this indicates that the manga contains both explicit and non-explicit sex scenes. Also, on this site, manga are uploaded and "tagged" with their categories and genres by fans, not by publishers. Therefore, the "tags" for genre and category can occasionally be wrong.

BTW Sekaiichi Hatsukoi was my first yaoi...I love that manga with all my heart.

I understand your statement. I do agree that yaoi and porn are simliar because of the explicit scenes/Rated 18 audience(not like people follow that restriction anyway). However, i must disagree with one thing. There is a difference between yaoi and porn. Porn is usually plot-less and has different acts/ways to please the audience. Yaoi is written in a form of manga, doujinshi, fanfiction, and etc with a plotline. It does show some plot in the work along with sexual scenes throughout the work. Although porn can be in a written form, it doesnt have any plot. This is the difference between yaoi and porn.

Yes, i do see that there are some gay porn on this site which people refer as yaoi. People just don't realize it.

I hate to be difficult with anyone regarding their opinion, and you are entitled to maintain your opinion of yaoi. However, everything I wrote in the second paragraph of my previous comment is fact, not my opinion. Your opinion is your own, but your facts are wrong. Whether porn has a plot or not, does not change the fact that it is still porn by definition. Just as yaoi is pornography (porn is an abbreviation of pornography) by definition whether it has a plot or not. Again, porn or pornography is defined as printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity. This is not my personal definition, google it if you are in doubt. I have no idea where you've gotten the information for your comments, but you've been completely mislead.

My facts come from these sources:

an opinion is defined as: a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

Have you checked out Futari no Musuko ni Nerawareteimasu? It's currently ongoing, but the basic premise is a "father" becomes the love interest of his twin "sons". There's not any incest because the sons are his brother-in-law's from his first marriage. I thought the premise was interesting and the story was written well. I'm not sure how "on par" with CSV it is, but it seems to have potential.

I think they are pretty balanced though. They may not all feel the same type of love for one another, but they still do love each other in equal but different ways. Shin likes both sexually/platonically, and likes them together with each other as well, so I think he's happy as long as they don't leave him out. Which won't happen because Yuki loves Shin romantically/sexually. Kouji doesn't mess things up either, rather he pulls it all together, because Kouji likes Shin and Yuki sexually/platonically, but he's not just in it for sex, he genuinely loves Yuki romantically, but he is the type to bully the one he loves. Yuki also feels sexually attracted to Kouji and shares a platonic friendship with him, plus with all the tsuntsun Yuki towards Kouji has he'll eventually have to develop/realize some deredere too. No one minds sharing either, and even like seeing them having sex with the other, so it would never be just Kouji and Yuki or just Shin and Yuki. It's a near perfect 3some ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

Lol, I actually think Choco Vanilla Strawberry has a way more skewed and messy threesome than this one, although I still really like it, but well I can agree to disagree. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Lol i meant the other people's comments for the main comment but that comment is about the character's relationship xD They're mentioning how Kouiji and Yuki should be together while throwing Shin away/off the relationship x'D Your comment makes sense. But i feel like Kouiji likes Yuki in a romantic love way and think Shin as a friend love way. And he knows that Yuki like Shin in a romantic way. And Shin loves both of them romanticly? Idk. The love for a friend and lover is different. It makes me wary of the relationship when its like that. It kinda makes me feel guilty cuz one person might have all attention while the other person feels left out. Then it turns to a K-drama kind of thing where people fight for someone xD Cuz people put most of their attention on the lover than on the friend mostly. THEN IT MAKES ME SAD AND DEPRESS FOR THE CHARACTERS x'D Feeeelsss

And i love messy and skewed mangas. Especially the dark ones xD It would probably seem more likely to happen with a possessive lover :D They're interesting.

Thanks for the concern but I know what a fact and an opinion is, so it’s unnecessary to give me the definitions. Also a “fact” can be something that has really occurred or is actually a case by actual experience or observation.

It doesn't always need to be a source.

And I know that porn is an abbreviation for pornography which isn't hard to recognize. Also I didn't mention porn having a plot.

Porn "doesn’t" have a plot. Its just sex.

Plus it seems you have a hard time differentiating the difference between “porn” and “yaoi” along with others. Or… accepting the fact there is one.

Sure your "fact" is true but it’s not entirely true
    .
Your claim is that ‘Yaoi is porn, always’. Yaoi is not "ALWAYS" porn. Sure yaoi has some qualities that might go under it but the fact remain is that it’s “not” porn.

    Porn would be “Hentai”.

Hentai shows more abnormal things than yaoi which earns its place in porn.

According to your definition that you pointed out twice, you mention that the "sex" is the only reason that yaoi is porn. If yaoi didn't have sex, then it wouldn't be porn.

"By definition" you state that it is.

Porn is "defined as printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity".

Well, I must ask these questions to the definition of porn. If there is a picture of a vagina or a penis, is it also considered porn??

What if this picture was just a diagram of the organ system, is the diagram picture of the penis or vagina considered porn??

How about Romeo and Juliet the movie??

What about Breaking Dawn in the twilight series???

    Titanic??

And the other movies/books that have a sex scene. How about the Buzzfeed video where an artist draws people's vaginas on how the people describe them??

    Is the artist's picture porn???

    You tell me.

Cuz what you’re telling me, is that if you agree to yaoi being ‘porn’ then you can go ahead and say all that above is also “porn” based on the definition of porn that you gave me twice.

    Mameiha August 1, 2015 6:39 am

My apologies to you if my clarifying my statements offended you. That was never my intention. I would like to try to clear up this conversation. The term "porn" commonly refers to adult videos in everyday speech. I am under the impression that this is where your "porn has no plot" opinion comes from. You are correct that most adult videos do not have a plot, although titles like "The Story of O", "Emmanuelle" and a few others are the exception. However the term "porn" is a blanket term encompassing many different visual media types, genres and categories. So yes, in fact, all those things you listed are pornography - save one.
You mention "hentai", this is a blanket term used to describe any sexually perverse or deviant media, act or person. As a common adult video descriptor, it would be: media type(animation or movie); genre (Japanese) category (hard core XXX rated to soft core R rated)
-Romeo & Juliet would be media type (movie); genre (hetero, theatrical, period piece) and category (soft core, R rated).
-Breaking Dawn is beyond my scope of understanding, as I have never seen this movie.
-Titanic would be the same as Romeo and Juliet.
-Other books and movies depend on the content included and the way sex is portrayed to determine it's genre and category.
-As for the artist's picture, yes, this is also porn. Then, so is the statue of David. As are Harlequin Romance novels, Fifty Shades of Grey novel, nude paintings and photography as well as many others.
In case categories are unclear these may help:
Implied sex (no penetration is seen) or the depiction of a nude body = soft core R rated
Explicit sex where penetration is depicted (oral;anal;vaginal)= hardcore X-XXX Rated.
X Rated= Vaginal penetration; oral sex
    XX Rated= X Rated+ Anal penetration (hetero & homosexual)
XXX Rated= X & XX Rated + Sexual fetish content

I'm sorry if the term porn is distasteful to some, but until we can realize that porn is ubiquitous in today's pop culture and entertainment, porn will never be able to shed the stigma of the past. Your questions are proof that pornography is all around us, from hard-core XXX rated to soft-core R rated. Why is the term "porn", and the media it describes, considered to be so distasteful? (Read the next paragraph to find out.) There is nothing wrong or bad about pornography in general. It is obviously rather popular in entertainment. It is the specific genres and categories that turn some people off and others on. We have even, as a society, begun to relax our views and allow soft core R rated pornography to be shown on television, in movies and in books.

I left your question about medical diagrams for last because my reply will explain the past stigma of pornography. Prior to the Victorian Era, nudity depicted in art and literature was commonplace. Queen Victoria found all nudity to be distasteful and since her opinions held great sway over public opinion in her country and abroad, the idea of nudity in art and literature being distasteful stuck. Pornography as a common term for this type of art and literature was born in this era out of the "new moral codes" of the public at that time. Pornography was then banned or shunned by "polite" society. Artists were fined or jailed and cultural works of art - like David, Venus Rising from the Sea and others were censored (David had a cloth fig leaf attached to his genitals) or removed from public view. Medical diagrams were also in danger of being banned and their artists fined or jailed, until the medical community made a big fuss. Basically, they stated that teaching new doctors would be impossible if all organs were not represented in their teachings. Law makers agreed, thanks to the deep pockets of the medical community, and medical diagrams were not considered to be pornography. They, law makers, even altered the definition, adding "for the purpose of creating sexual stimulation or arousal". This addition was later removed when artists claimed they did not create their works for this purpose, to avoid being banned; fined or imprisoned. However, medical diagrams, to this day, are still not considered pornography. With this, you can see how the negative public perception of a subject can taint a word or concept over centuries. Pornography wasn't outlawed because it was "bad", it became "bad" because it was outlawed.

So I ask you, knowing what I just told you about the origins of pornography's reputation, why is it such a bad thing that yaoi falls under the term pornography? We see pornography daily and even revere many classical and ancient nudes as the height of artistic expression. In my opinion, we are carrying around the burden of an outdated prejudice against pornography as a term.
Which is why yaoi is, in fact, pornography and in my opinion it is awesome that way. Nothing but our opinions and ideas about the term used to define yaoi should be changed.

Can u answer this~In the U.S., a July 2014 criminal case decision in Massachusetts (COMMONWEALTH v. John REX.) made a legal determination of what was not to be considered "pornography" and in this particular case "child pornography". It was determined that photographs of naked children that were from sources such as National Geographic magazine, a sociology textbook, and a nudist catalog were not considered pornography in Massachusetts even while in the possession of a convicted and (at the time) incarcerated sex offender. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
