though i'll admit the pace was a tiny bit over the place compared to other works of sensei's... not exactly rushed per se, but definitely a different pace... i'd say overall it's a solid 8/10(⌒▽⌒)

how come this is the last volume kawa ni sazami (i am pretty sure i forgot the name) has been going for ten years... though arguibly less content ofc but still (｡ŏ﹏ŏ)
i really wish this actually went somewhere but i don't know where's this is going anymore TT i think it'd be nice if they had a break or something, i feel like that would really get things going (and also, an excuse for sensei to keep drawing), but in all honesty i need this to be over before i turn one year older. i started this in highschool. i'm gonna be 21 soon...
i really should re-read the whole thing again someday, i started reading around the time the movie was announced. i've grown up reading this and i've seen myself in shun during all of his phases, and i will keep doing so until i reach his age, i think. he gives me hope that, despite everything, i'll be alright.
that aside, it's probably because it's been a while, but the pace for this volume felt so different than the usual, some chapters were short but thankfully they got longer towards the end, that was nice. i liked the unfiltered mention of an aromantic person as well, it was probably more of a translation thing but i still find it so important to talk explicitly about other queer identities.
i have so many things to say about this. i wouldn't mind if next volume were to be the last one, i feel like it'd be good enough, though i would love to see their relationship develop more and more to a healthier stage, just the two of them. i keep thinking mio has stuff yet to sort out but everything had been so shun-focused... i think i'll be satisfied if i know they are steady. and shun falls in love with writing again. oh lord i could write essays about them...
