read the raws for the ending as well as the author notes, and essentially everything from start to finish was masterminded by hyunseok.
the last chapter starts with sungjae waking up in the hospital. once he gets out, he's informed that filming for his movie will start the next day, as the director has been waiting for him despite his disappearance for 3 months. things go well, and his acting has improved. 3 years later, the movie is a hit. sungjae is proud of his work and repeatedly watches the movie. one day, he goes to a screening of his movie in an empty theater, and people start filling in. as the movie starts, he realizes it's different and is actually the events that transpired in the village throughout the story. at the end of the movie, he realizes he is surrounded by the townspeople, who give a standing ovation. lastly, hyunseok appears and beckons sungjae to the stage as their new sheperd. it ends with sungjae looking horrified.
so turns out, hyunseok was the upcoming director mentioned in the first chapter. sungjae's controversies during his acting career > job offer from a promising director > kidnapping > impersonation of the cult leader were all planned by hyunseok. while sungjae was gone from the village, hyunseok had somehow convinced everyone that sungjae was their true savior and got them in his crazy plan to film this movie. author mentions hints of this in story ie. panels where a camera is filming them in the bushes, and dialogue when hyunseok calls sungjae "our god" instead of "my god"
additionally author mentions there is no planned side stories at the moment, but if they get the chance they'd like to do a school au. also i think the series was supposed to go on for a bit longer since they mentioned they had to end it at ch. 31 due to personal issues

it's hilarious how bad jinwoo is at lying but like... i think it's such a human response, it's so easy to say 'oh just lie better' but this is a horrible situation to be in - i mean he's in the middle of this apocalypse surrounded by the hounds of who have threatened him, could kill him, have tried to kill him, and have been killed. and there's guwon, whose true intentions jinwoo is still totally confused about, and treats people's lives so callously that he could easily be next as far as he knows. like guwon could just snap his neck in a second and ngl i would freak the fuck out after being cornered in the woods like that too
but yeah jinwoo is absolutely not rebellion material. and i think he's aware of that, he just doesn't want anyone else getting killed, which is why he's helping with the plan and still trying to convince guwon of his loyalty even though they both know he's totally fucked it up lol.
muyeol is annoying af but this is getting interesting now that seokjun can't get it up anymore... cuz just a couple of chapters ago yechan said they'd be done if seokjun couldn't get hard so... curious to see if their relationship will actually progress for once or if they'll somehow just find another way to fuck it out
also it's such a tiny detail but cheol's hesitancy to fire the workers of his cafe even when business was bad and his wife was putting pressure on him... he wasn't always a bum he was kind deep down and still kept trying his best to measure up to others' expectations of him too
i love minyoung as a character, but i don't know how he had the audacity to try and harm/kill cheol after the bullshit he pulled... sure, cheol 'promised' to never abandon him no matter what, but what did you think the mentally ill, abuse victim, teenager/college student was going to do? you never told him anything, never ran after him, never tried to talk to him after outing him to his violent and negligent family and just let him think you betrayed him...
and while i admire minyoung's dedication to his 10 year plan, it's so shitty of him to act like it was all necessary to 'protect' cheol when his actions directly contributed to the downwards spiral of cheol's life lol. i know cheol is far from perfect too, but it's so hard for me to agree with minyoung's logic when it sounds stupid af no hate to the author btw i love this story and how it's making me think

there's a total of 9 chapters for this manhwa rn so i'm giving a chance since it's fairly new, but yeah i totally hate the other fox dude and how the fox bottom is made to be too weak to actually fight back against him. i don't think the rabbit is being sidelined though - they literally have marathon sex in the next chapter and the bottom clearly has feelings for him instead of the other guy
