What are the things that make you more hyped about a story(in general and when it is a BL story)? And what makes you down, things that make you feel like dropping it?

i always love when the story has realistic issues and characters, it makes it more relatable and enjoyable to read. i always feel like dropping a story when there’s no consent when they’re having sex, or when the characters are not likeable at all lol
Me too!! some of my friends just read for the porn, but i only like get hyped with the sex moments when the story is actually good^^ healthy relationships are the bestヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

I usually drop it when both characters dont seem to have an equal dynamic :( or when the plot seems too cheap even for a yaoi, which is usually why I drop alot of omegaverse, since many of them are overly shallow/ dont put enough effort into justification of seme/uke decisions. like uke isnt in heat but takes heat medicine then goes into heat anyways ugh.
I really like stories where the characters are really in love and obsessed with eachother. Not in a creepy yandere way but they are open with their love for eachother like in Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki. So its no suprise that What makes me want to drop stories is if a character is a tsundere. I hate when a character is cold and mean to their partner long after they are together. For example in love is an illusion the uke made me so frustrated because even after they were married he was still kind of cold and won't admit his feelings. Overall its a turn off for me.

Yeah, I also didn’t enjoy love is an illusion ;w; about the tsundere part tho, I like to read them because there are can be huge character developments where the tsunderes learn to be less tsundere. On the other side, many manga’s have their characters be tsundere without reason and without development.. an example of that is ofc love is an illusion as you said :l

Unpopular opnion: I'm glad the the comment section is more sad than horny. THIS is the felling nonconcensual sex (aka rape) should make you feel. It's not pretty, it breaks the victim, it's gross. Kudos for the writer and artist
