But can't figure out why Rashta antagonize her and why her husband left her and took Rashta's side. Literally Navier's attendants and her brother mocked rashta in public... How tf are you surprised Rashta took the defensive and used her SADLY only tools (beauty & making people pity her) to defend herself?

She seems like a victim. She is. UNTIL despite being the receiving end of mockery, humiliation, violence etc, instead of being empathetic the first thing she did when she was at her highest was abuse others, go after her abusers not with justice but, with violence and antagonize people simply for jealousy. When she started doing horrible things because of vengeance and envy, thus NOT as a self defence or to safe guard her kids, that's when she stopped being a victim to me. But a bully herself. A bloody one too. (BTW I don't believe excusing a bully because said bully is also a victim bullshit).

From their names to the drawing MC's did that took him DAYS, to the numerous almost naked runaways, to the random pull a gun during a conversation, their mum's friends specifically introduced as a flower girl, the brother chasing a train with car, the train hit by a landslide, to stud looking like savages?????? just showing up and entering their cabin??? To the the grape scenes with doors open and the guards just standing there............. Broooooo this is so ridiculous

My conclusion:
- novel: very shorts chapters. Nice extra stories from side chara povs. Btw they're officially translated and I 100% rec. It's very cozy. Barely talks about her abusive parents. Also Ivy is more headstrong imo in novel.
- manga: gorgeous art but, talks more about her parents' abuse like yoo I didn't read ivy got beatedn by her parents and brother (in the novel it's only mentioned they stopped putting her plate so eventually she ran to the forest to avoid starvation).
- anime: cozy but highlights A LOT Ivy's family before and after they discover she's starless. They put happy scenes with her family too.
