Well, the original novel is by Betty Neels, so entitled jerks getting their come-uppance isn't going to happen. The nasty fiancée having her engagement broken off is the height of cruelty for one of her stories. At least the doctor was English in this one instead of a billionaire Dutch doctor.
The way I know these kind of stories, our medic is probably an unofficial prince, and will take the crown from that asshole or something like that

I remember when the whole Perrat loves Vessa thing started, back than there where a bunch of comments complaining that it was too out of left field, and now everyone seems to feel sorry for him even though they didn't really get any moments together.
I find it funny how quickly opinions change, but I can't quite follow why it changed in this situation.
The only one out of them I feel sorry for is the baby she is carrying. It's basically destined to either die before it is even born as part of a plot against our main couple, or to grow up to be a grade a asshole, with parents like that, also the kid would be used as a pawn in their games.
To all the male leads she has to get scarier and scarier every new chapter, like first she screamed red wolf boy and brother boy into next week and now she is using a sword? If I was any of those guys I'd be pissing myself at that point.lol
