This story is so similar to a novel called "You've Reached Sam" by Dusting Thao. The boyfriend also dies in an accident and the girl is able to connect to him though her cellphone. At the end, she is finally able to accept his death and move on with her life. It also made me cry. This story is so similar that I'm feeling emotional while typing this message too :(
That story I swear! I still haven't finished it because I keep crying everytime I remember it's not gonna be a bitter-sweet ending. Dustin Thao loves seeing people suffer with his stories.
