first of all, no hatin on me, okay??? JUST GENUINELY CURIOUS, CUZ MY MIND CANNOT COMPREHEND(MAYBE IM JUST SMALL MINDED OR SOMETHING)....
SO, AHEM.
I have a confession(?).
I DON'T LIKE THOSE STRAIGHT ROFAN MANHWA WHERE SOMEBODY DIES AND THEIR LAST READ NOVEL IS A BL ONE. AND THEN THEY TRANSMIGRATED INTO THE BL NOVEL BLAH BLAH BLAH...
AND, LIKE— PERSONALLY, THAT KINDA TYPE OF STRAIGHT ROFAN MANHWA IS LIKE— SO... DISCRIMINATORY(?) TO MEEEE LIKE— THE ORIGINAL NOVEL SHE TRANSMIGRATED INTO IS BL, RIGHT? BL. BUT THEN SHE RECOVERED(OR LIKE— SHE IS BORN WITH THEM ETC.) HER MEMORIES OF THE BL NOVEL. RIGHT? AND THEN SHE TRIES TO CHANGE THE STORY, RIGHT? CUZ IT'S TRAGIC, DISTURBING, ETC. RIGHT??? I GET IT, OKAY? I GET IT
BUT THEN LIKE— IT DESTROYS THE BL QUALITIES?!?!?! AND LIKE I KINDA THINK IT'S DISCRIMINATORY???
AND SO, EVER SINCE I CAN REMEMBER IT, I DIDN'T READ ANY TYPE OF MANHWA THAT USES THAT PLOT...
I agree especially when the fmc ends up with the og gay ml. cus why would someone want to insert a woman in a gay relationship/with a gay man? like that’s essentially what the author is trying to do! it’s just weird and annoying. i love rofan and transmigration stories, but leave that “I transmigrated into my favorite yaoi novel but now the male lead is obsessed with me?!” bs in the depths of hell!!
I’m not the person u asked but I want to weigh in; it would be just as weird if the og story was gl, and the male transmigrator turns one of the fl straight. Conversely, it would be fine if it was a og straight story and the transmigrator turns one of the ogmc gay. It’s conversion therapy as a manhwa trope while the other genre is just someone discovering their sexuality. It’s also reinforcing the idea that “he wasn’t gay, he just needed the right woman!” Unless authors explicitly state that the ml is bisexual or doesn’t care about gender, it’s just off-putting. Though, just cs I don’t like it doesn’t mean other people can’t read it.
I'm glad to hear your opinion too :D Thank you for being so respectful!
I personally think that that type of story is just kinda wrong no matter what the sexuality is unless the person transmigrated actually applies to the story genre, including straight relationships.
I feel like if it's a story about discovering sexuality, that's just the wrong kind of story for it? If that makes sense. Like I'm not gonna hate on a story if that's how it goes, I just also won't read it.
Fair point! I personally enjoy transmigration stories, so I’m glad we can come to a civil understanding despite our different preferences.
I wish everyone had this mindset, where you just dont read something if you don’t like it. It makes no sense to me when ppl leave a hate comment on a manhwa they don’t like. Just don’t read it!

so well... there is this one manga that has a potential; it has great visuals, it is cute and all, but the ONE THING I HATED IS the terrible TERRIBLE(terrible, i tell ya!) translation and editing!!! RAAAAAGGGHHHH but then like, it has speedy updates ngl, but it's like quantity over qualityyyy. LIKE DON'T GET ME WRONG, I TRANSLATED IT FIRST, BUT THEN, I GOT BUSY, AND TRANSLATING AND EDITING IT TAKES A WHOLE LOTTA TIME(IF YOU DID SOLO SCANLATING, YOU'LL KNOW)! AND NOW I CHECKED THEY DOMINATED THE MANGA ALREADYYYYY im already depressed, and ts just made me fell even deeper. AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON MY OCD! i am already struggling with my perfectionist attitude(im talking about my scanlation) AND THEN I READ THAT MF OF A TRANSLATION!!! RAAAGGGGHHHH like oh my god someone help meeeee
here is the translated novel i found of it: wattpad . com/story/369608639
