Being exposed to Kyousuke's flawed nature at this point in my life brought about extreme frustration, but I knew it was projection, it honestly hit way too close to home. This work made me cry so bad. I don't enjoy reading meaningless angst since I live a queer reality and it makes me depressed, thinking about how my own life could turn out. I prefer seeing queer couples get happy endings. The angst here was so relatable it was scary. I thought Kyousuke was in teen me's head. The angst wasn't meaningless, it served it's greater purpose, and I'm glad they got their happy ending. Stories like this give me courage :].
