Now that my library got nuked, I'm looking for a shonen ai manga about childhood friends living together in a detached house as college students. One of them has an unrequited crush on the other but the manga doesn't really focus on romance. It's more about food and slice of life. There's a cherry tree in their backyard. They also have friends they bring over time to time. Most of the manga takes place in their shared house. The confession comes only at the very end of around 2/3 volumes TT

Yea he was distant for a few chapters but you can’t equate that to him actively trying to make the MC miserable. I’d be a little frustrated too if someone made out with me, even if they had no romantic interest whatsoever(which wasn’t the case, but still). You’re acting like he’s a manipulative mastermind that calculates his every move and “works a lil trick” (wtf?)
ALSO, you’re acting like him hooking up with other ppl is a bad thing? He’s totally within his rights to have flings if he thinks a relationship won’t work out with his crush because their straight, or uninterested

Get a grip. No one is forcing you to read this, and you allowed to not like a trope. But your inability to see the nuance in a story is very telling of a narrow mindset.
