any idea if the 'oh baby' is supposed to sound like 'ooh baby' or 'aww baby'? cause each have their own feel and its hard to distinguish in this scene.
on the other hand Naruse wins boyfriend of the year award, I mean just by him turning his phone off and giving yuki his full attention has him topping the charts. (⊙…⊙ )
Prob the "aw" connotation. Cuz his entire face softens like "aw baby u feel so bad" honestly I died. Like I have an immense soft mushy spot for pet names and him being all sweet like that just killed me

Haha, I'm gonna choose to agree with you, cuz I initially read it as "OH baby!" in the *wink wink nudge nudge* way, and it TOTALLY took me out of the moment, lol! Probably doesn't help that I really hate the word "baby" to begin with in romantic contexts (it feels sexist/demeaning to me in general cuz its infantasizing, like, I'm not a child and I'm not helpless, I'm a fucking grown-ass woman! Treat me as such, damn it!) but it comes across as a lot nicer when you read it as a sincere "oh, muffin" type thing ;p
