Guys it’s a good story but if ur thinking abt dropping it then just drop it, it might not be ur cup of tea. Like it was pretty obvious the story was gonna be angsty… Did the character dynamic in the first 20 chapters not make it clear it was gonna be a toxic bl? If you thought it was gonna be some cute love story then you must’ve read this story with ur brain turned off because Go Yohan was definitely a red flag beginning of the story and so was the MC But if ur unsure if it’s worth the read, I’d say it’s worth it because it does have a happy ending.
i’d rather wait another month to read this manhwa than read ai slop translations
isnt this the same artist as trash of the count’s family? or are the art styles just very similar

not sure if i remember correctly or if it was alrdy mentioned in the manhwa but i’m pretty sure it’s implied or stated that Yohan strategically planned junwoo’s downfall because of his crush on Jun. That’s why he became friends with Junwoo in the first place so he can get rid of him later and become a top-dog so Jun would like him (because he thinks jun only likes the top dogs of the school).
hwijun was not as chopped as i imagined him to be in the novel…..
God i remember reading this like 7 years ago…. it was good , the plot twist was good if i remember correctly, or it was good for the me from 7 yrs ago… would recommend reading
this is truly peak… even though season 2 ended abruptly because the author’s health was declining, they still used the side stories to properly close off the story. if ur having trouble deciding to read it because of people saying it had a “bad ending” i promise you its not horrible and it feels complete now
fuck my life they caught my ass smiling too much they had to hit me with a placeholder chapter
guys this artist is known for twinkifying a not so twinky bottom…
I’ve notice that the setting in the manhwa is quite different compared to the novel. I guess they’re just skipping a few scenes because it’s harder to put the depth and meaning of the original scenes into illustration.
The two classmates Jun was talking to towards the end of ch45 are actually pretty relevant in the novel. They had their own proper introduction and interact with Jun a lot in the story. They’re important characters because their interactions with Jun depict Jun’s current status at school. Currently, Jun hasn’t fallen to the lowest of the low and this is portrayed by when and how much the 2 classmates (Im Yoonki & Park Haon) talk to him.
Originally in the novel, Im Yoonki and Park Haon are only seen interacting with Jun during class/in their classroom because they sit in front of Jun. They were one of the only characters who talked to him and they only talked to them because it never inconvenienced them. However, the more Jun falls from the social hierarchy, the less Im Yoonki and Park Haon want to talk to him. Before, they’d greet Jun before he sat down in his seat, and would casually turn around and talk to him (more like gossip but Jun never participated in the gossip). But whenever an event happens to Jun, or more negative gossip goes around about Jun, the less they’ll want to talk to Jun. Sometimes just hesitantly greeting him and never turning their backs to talk to him. Obviously Jun knows how much of a snake those two classmates can be and doesn’t actually feel attached to them, but he does get pissed off at them (inside his head ofc)
Anyways, the scene where Go Yohan threw the ball at Jun’s back for “gossiping” never happened in the novel. This scene was drastically changed in the manhwa.
- First, Jun and the two classmates weren’t in the hallway, they were inside the classroom.
- Secondly, they weren’t talking about Jaehyun, I guess the manhwa just wanted to push the love rival role heavily on Jaehyun to make it more interesting. Anyways Jaehyun wasn’t the topic of their discussion, it was actually the freckled brown haired guy, Oh Yeonjun. In the novel, Oh Yeonjun was annoyingly interacting with Jun whilst Jun was talking to Im Yoonki and Park Haon. Those two classmates found Oh Yeonjun annoying aswell, and used the smuggish way Oh Yeonjun would interact with Jun to their advantage. They’d basically defend Jun by criticizing Oh Yeonjun and making him feel stupid, something Jun wants to do aswell, just can’t really act on it. When Oh Yeonjun left the classroom, In Yoonki and Park Haon just started gossiping and talking shit about Oh Yeonjun, expressing how much they dislike him to Jun.
-Third, Go Yohan NEVER threw the ball at Jun like how he did in the manhwa. The only time Jun was hit by a rubber ball was after thanking Jaehyun in the hallway. The hallway was crowded and someone hit him with the ball, it never said who though. Go Yohan was actually in the back of the classroom and suddenly shouted “Shut the fuck up” while Im Yoonki and Park Haon were shittalking Oh Yeonjun. Jun felt hopeful because he though Go Yohan was going to defend him again until Go Yohan put the shittalking-blame onto Jun even though Jun was never apart of the gossip.
So yeah that was the original scene. It doesn’t ruin anything in the manhwa I guess, but it’s fun to know.
omg asshole he made me so mad when i read the novel that seeing him grovel later was so satisfying
