Letina was married to the emperor. She was empress. He hated her and took concubines and had many children, Genas being one of them. Enoch and Genas are brothers, Letina was Genas' step-mother. There's not really any argument for her being a victim, she was older and he was being roped into her insanity. He's clear he's doing it against his will.
