so we have options for whatever the hell guwon is hiding:
1. guwon is some kinda hot, frankenstein’s monster that is learning things for the first time, which I REALLY DONT WANT TO BE TRUE, for obvious, very problematic, consent issues/reasons…considering his mental state to be that of a baby…
2. guwon is the manipulative, scheming hot bastard of your red flag dreams, he’s just barely hiding it in this weird way…not ideal, but not the worst option out of these
3. guwon is still hot, scheming, and manipulative—BUT—he does not like Teach , he’s trying to get Teach to like him so he can use him as a pawn for ulterior motives. In fact, becuz of that last scene, we could conclude that he hates humans in general.
4. maybe its a combo of all the above. hot frankenstein monster, but not entirely naive or innocent, is manipulating Teach for plans we do not know of yet, and hates humans in general because of his experience with them and the torture or neglect that he may have suffered from his Creator.
(and maybe he’s in denial of his feelings? i dunno, that throw up scene rly threw me off guys )

like, i just dont think he’s the same amount of intimidating or cunning…so far it feels like they made him more timid, and submissive…and im sorry thats kinda stereotypical yaoi MC imo…like i was kinda interested with the opening of him doing sexual things to trap his targets and kill them…and i know he said he has to act inexperienced with the violence and explicitness of the underworld but then his thoughts seem to reveal actual inexperience and contradicts that statement…unless the ML can read minds and yujin knows this(yea, i dont think soooo).
OG yujin not stabbing the guy with no hesitation or fear in his face may not be good for his cover up that he’s just “some guy that stumbled into this,” but…it sure established some powerful aura and that yujin was not someone to be easily messed with. he FITS with a gang leader. because he is just as unhinged and willing to do the dirty work as the ML is. he’s just as cold. just as calculating.
the new yujin acts like a stressed, temp worker who just wants to get this over with but is scared and worried at every turn towards violence EVEN THOUGH, like the OG, he desperately wants to make it up to his father figure/politician guy and is no stranger to the ugliness or violence of the underworld. weirdly, he seems to lack the same amount of determination as OG.

and going back to the topic of stereotypical…i want to believe its because they want to rationalize why the ML, who is a gang leader, would suddenly demand sexual favors from this random dude they found on his turf. Like, “oh its not just cuz this is a yaoi and why wouldnt they fck, he was actually gay the whole time and his whole gang knows and respects this.”
