Is it just me or does Noah kinda suck? Like Doc just skipped over the whole daddy thing and was like “I need to protect him now?” I’m calling BS on this one; seems like a far jump for the prodigal 2nd generation pharmacist. Not to mention! 30k!!? Come on. -_-

Doc recognized that Noah was only doing what he had to, not what he wanted. He related to how they both always did what their fathers wanted and thats not something thats easy to stop. Sure it hurts but he cares about Noah more than that.

Thanks for your thoughts. I like seeing different perspectives. :D

I do feel your point and I assume that was the author’s intention. I also feel conflicted about the lack of discussion around the inevitable hurt that Doc would feel and hasn’t expressed. It feels too convenient that Doc is so benevolent, though I get that it’s ideal and morally “right.” Idk, maybe Doc kinda sucks too? The character development is just not vibing with me atm.
