Author took a lovely story and completely fucked it up with this unnecessary season of trauma and emotional upheaval. It’s more like two separate stories, two separate genres even. If they wanted to write about rape, emotional abuse, and physical assault… they should have written a new story, not fuck up an established fan favorite like this. I don’t know how much more of this shit I can take.
Side note: as a rape survivor, I will NEVER understand the interest some people have in rape tropes. And wtf is this new genre of rapist to lovers?? I’d sooner die than see the three men from my youth in a romantic light. Gross
As a survivor of gang rape, I don’t find that shit ‘sexy’. If someone could let me know if I should even bother continuing, I’d appreciate that.
