My guess is Amekawa was interested in Yuuki in highschool. Amekawa who was popular might have helped Yuuki (when he was bullied). And Yuuki developed feelings for him. Since opposites are said to attract, it's possible that Amekawa felt attraction towards the gloomy and awkward Yuuki. When Amekawa talks about Yuuki having more courage. I think there is a deeper meaning, maybe he's talking about the graduation day, courage it took to try to confess. Something Amekawa didn't have. But it looks like he does now.
They both give off uke vibes. But like others are saying in the comments I think Yuuki would be the seme even though his personality is more girly than Amekawa's. Amekawa would be a uke who would blush but tease Yuuki a lot. Their relationship wont be easy because Yuuki is not confident with himself.
