Please don't accuse Harada of romanticizing any of the things that happen in the stories because he is just showing the sins of our society. Most of the comments I read keep saying 'they should get therapy', etc. That is just theories. The author is showing what is actually wrong with us - not noticing the sings that lead to such developments. For example, if the mother acted on her instincts when she felt something was wrong, maybe her son wouldn't have gone through all of this but she choose first to think 'it can't happen to our family' (which we are all guilty of thinking). You all say the right answer but real life always strikes fast and hard. You want them to get therapies in mangas but Harada is showing us that not all of them are getting therapy which is rather a fact that happens in society. We still aren't able to manage mental care and I say 'manage' because I believe the mind takes a whole life to keep it healthy and safe for our sake and for others too and it's not about treating.
I was shocked to realize the live novel isn t so sweet. It s like an entire different genre. If this is more shoujo, the novel is a little brutal. Still, I enjoy the change.
What do you mean, more like dark can you spoil anything?
In the manga we don t see her almost getting raped by a sadistic guard in jail, almost becoming a sex slave, the raw treatment the women got in jail, lots of beheading... I find the ML is more scary in the novel...
Or when the blonde gal entered the room and tried to seduce the ml, he treated her violently, almost got her naked by ripping her clothes, put her in doggy style and threatened her that he will not treat her like a lady if she does things like these.
