i've read the novel and right till the end, there weren't even that much romance. in fact, it's mostly just implied that you had to squint to see it. this is literally just camilla fighting the church and staying rich lol
i think it's because people are always thinking about romance everytime camilla interacts with men outside her family, that they always have to discern the chemistry between them. i'm aware that there were scenes that kinda give off the romantic bling bling but i feel like this is only in the manhwa. i don't remember getting romance vibes when i read the novel.
not to mention camilla doesn't even give a fuck so no need to fuss over it. maybe just me tho. can't help but rant since this had been one of the novels i was able to finish and enjoy haha
I wouldn’t say you would have to squint to see it. It’s pretty clear that Camilla and Alsian have strong feelings for each other. This was seen when everyone in her family were against alsian being her partner, alsian and his father included, because of how their house leaders gain their power and authority to rule the house, but she went out of her way to find a solution so they can be together. It’s definitely not a typical lovey dovey romance that people are used to, but it can still be considered romantic after the main story is concluded. They were practically always together once she fixes the condition with the spirit animal. Considering the way she feels about relationships and the other supposed romantic options, the way she cares and feels about alsian is very much different. I do agree is not the main point of the story, though, especially considering how their romantic bond didn’t grow until after the main story was completed.
No it's not just you. The romance in novel is definitely subtle and more of a subplot. I hear there's more in the side stories but I haven't read those yet bc I can't find them ╥﹏╥ I think the art's pulling heavy for all the ships too. Bc it's pretty and all the guys are handsome, they wanna ship (￣∇￣")
Romance may not be the top priority which is okay and makes sense. But what I don’t understand is why ppl suddenly start seeing every male character as a romantic interest when it’s been made pretty clear that alsian and MC are romantically into each other. Also ppl saying the brother is looking at her romantically gotta pause there because why tf would he be romantically interested when all he acknowledges her as his sister and only sticks around her because interesting new experiences happen in his otherwise dull life (after multiple repeated life cycles)
any recs with stories similar to involuntary romance?? or basically any bl around 50 chapters (preferably completed) that has minimal smut and not a lot of angst :( or non at all

i can't read threesome stories when not all 3 people like each other. in most cases (bl), 2 semes would like 1 uke and the uke also likes the 2 semes equally. however, the 2 semes always see each other as rivals and had to fight for uke's attention everytime. the usual "happy ending" is the 2 semes agreeing on a "truce" or whatever, but never really developing feelings for each other.
it's rare to find a throuple threesome were they are all equally inlove with each other. i've read one where their situation is there's a top and a bottom who likes the same man, and said man gets sandwiched. however, the top and bottom doesn't really see each other as potential partners, though they are in good terms—more on platonic than romantic. i feel like they are more civilized since they don't have to fight for the same hole LOL
there's just something magical with seeing 3 people finding solace with each other. a complete opposite of what i feel everytime i see two people tolerating each others' existence just so they can get this one person's affection.
this is all just my opinion tho. i suddenly had the urge to write a lil rant after seeing and 3 man cover thinking that it would be good to see them in a loving 3sum... just to be disappointed when i skimmed the last chapter *sighs*
