Like... HOW will the author "repair" this relationship that was never existend and so fucked up? ..... when they get together cause that blonde psycho bites my tanned hubby after pheromoneshock him- im going berserk
That story is slow burn, it really is.
And Grayson, even if that surprises you, is someone who would never force Dane.
In addition this omegaverse the bite of a alpha only works if the omega really wants to keep that mark.
A small spoiler without really giving away what happen

Grayson does something (a really good deed at a high risk) that leaves Dane indepted (nothing to do with money etc.) to him, which makes Dane accept a suggestion which gives them the chance to get to know each other better.
* indebted.
Dominant omegas need 10 alpha/dominant alpha to be overpowered and go into shock, while they alone can Shock unconcius a Dominant alpha. So I wouldn't worry about that. Dane is holding out pretty well. Xd
Also omegas won't get marked unless they want it too, but if an omega marks an alpha then the alpha is forever tied to the omega (unless omega dies)
I think while Grayson has loose screws he isn't gonna force himself on him, or anyone in that aspect. He never acted forceful towards anyone he had sex with, he was just unempathetic with them and ended up hurting them. But that's because he was never taught how to feel feelings, only how to mimic and analise them. It's still wild for me that his parents were like "if you cannot feel them learn to analise and mimic them" as if that's not creepy ╥﹏╥
But ig it worked to some extent cos he fitted into society. Him not understanding his own brother's horror regarding the Dog story is also one of the occasions where he genuinely doesn't see the issue. He was failed by his own parents and if he was on top of it locked up as a Punishment etc as a kid, that's even worse for people like him. (And his father looking up his mom so casually too like BROO(￣∇￣") )
hmmmm...let me guess is it abt his cat?
Wouldn't be surprised ╮(￣▽￣)╭

When Dane had a day off, he accompanied a beta woman who claimed to be pregnant by him before he told her it's impossible, to a clinic.
Grayson found out that the woman had been with Larien before and informed her, and he wanted to see the show. But the alarm went off at the fire station, there was a fire because someone burned leaves, and Grayson recognized that it was in the neighborhood where in Dane lived, since he was at Dane's house before.
When they arrived Dane's house was already on fire, and since Grayson knew about Darling and how important the cat was for Dane he just ran in alone. None of the other firefighters even thought of following. They didn't know it was Dane's house, but even if they knew I don't think that anyone of them would have gone in.
That day Grayson saved Darling, and with what he felt and Dane explained he found out what the emotion fear is like.
Grayson then asked Dane for a 3 month trial relationship, Grayson also promised he would leave him alone ( leave the fire department) if it doesn't work out when time is up. Dane agrees because Grayson saved Darling's life, but also to get rid of Grayson.
