I honestly understand the hate for the FL and the story. The story itself really needs to have you be a patient person with how absolutely slow it progresses, though I personally like how slow it is (only because it has a lot of chapters though lol).

Pacing aside, I wouldn't exactly call FL "stupid" as majority of the comment section believes, in fact, I'd go as far as to say she's quite relatable and realistic. People seem to be unaware how many people are just like her, smart but a slave to the current system. She knows what is right and knows what to do but she lacks the courage to take ACTION for it but honestly, it seems people also forget that she lives in a PATRIARCHY country, so the thought of a woman taking actions even just to protect herself is something she doesn't "deserve" as she's clearly stated.

Slowly but surely, it's crazy to say that FL is stupid and has done little to no actions to defend herself. Yes, it does disappoint me that she physically cannot defend herself for most of the time, but how many ladies in the old time could do anything like that? Honestly, she's braver than most women shown in the story. Despite carrying her child whilst experiencing pregnancy sickness, she still had the courage to stab the man she used to love for decades. That takes strength.

Moving back to her ex lover, people also seem to think that it's easy for women to leave the man they've loved their whole lives, especially with his family treating her so much better than her own. It may be different for bigger countries but for a country like mine where there's little to no protection for women who suffer with cheating men, you won't be able to help but feel powerless as well. She has stated herself that at the time the cheating was at its peak, SHE HAD NO POWER to take proper action against him. But once she had that power, did we not see her break it off as soon as she was able to?

This story isn't perfect but it's definitely far from being the worst. It may definitely not the story for everyone but if and when it reaches the right audience, it's definitely quite a story. I resonate with this story a lot. A powerless person who was unable to do anything against another whose power was way beyond hers but decided to work to gain power despite the patriarchy and almost everyone seeing have absolutely no faith in her. Not every story needs to have a woman be strong through magical or physical means, she's strong in her own way in a world where women are allowed to be strong.
