I've liked this author's works up until now. I can't believe this trope still even exists, the plot is not even interesting. It's just a mix of generic and trashy. Rape is not sexy guys. It's just kind of disappointing to see an author you like make this kind of shit

It wasn't omegaverse and it was kind of modern. It had an odd artstyle but still good. I can't remember much of the plot but it was a healthy 3p relationship.

I'm not quite sure about the details because I've read this story about 2 years ago and I forgot to subscribe to it and I only remember only bits of it. Anyways the story was that there was a loner teen boy and then he was a son of some ramen/restaurant owner and their shop was right at the ocean. And the loner teen boy was also a student and he also met another teen boy student and they became friends and then they fell in love but the loner teen boy suddenly disappeared because his mother was a mermaid and she also disappeared leaving her love(loner teen boys dad) because there was like some curse or smth and he(loner teen boy) needed to do the same in order not to curse his love.

The plot is straight up trash and rape. Its not sexy and it's not cool. This is disappointing, looking back at the author's past works this is definitely a letdown. Its bad it's trashy, dont read it.

gyangu no kai-kata literally starts with the seme pulling a gun on the uke, nearly choking him/pushing him, and then making him lead him to his home to stay there without his permission. I get what you're saying but this author has made other works that are morally questionable. To say that this one in particular is trash seems like it's jumping on the omegaverse hate wagon. I totally get that people don't like omegaverse, that's completely fair, but it seems like everyone lately is forgetting about all the other questionable things that happen in BL. Me personally, i know that it's all fantasy and as such i just sit back, don't think to hard and enjoy it. It's like how some people fantasize about rape or those who like BDSM, fictional works are depicting omegaverse themes are fantasy for people to mind numbingly enjoy. Things like this exist and it doesn't mean it's bad to like them.

I agree with Pea'cha and how they pointed out that even if the story is questionable you can still just read for the art and for the sake of reading. I read a bit of everything and I do so just because I can, you can always find some cool stories or themes hidden in some messed up story you pick up. I actually love the art, and find even this normal everyday "oh I'm an omega" plot pretty nice to see. It's messed up but I tend to not look into the sex too much for Omegaverse I think this is better than some of the more messed up ones. He never pushes him to pair with the seme, but still tries to prove that all this isn't just out of fate or obligation so they can both be happy at the end. I look forward to this story's ending. You say that it could be worse but unfortunately, this is already the worst that can happen. I get that most omegaverse tend to have that rape trope but that's not what I'm looking for. There ARE omegaverses that do have healthy relationships and I clicked unto this thinking that it might be one of them. Also I don't like overlooking sexual assault just for the sake of completing the read, so you saying that it could've been worse doesn't really help at all. I get that it might not be the worst for you but IT IS the worst plot for me so I guess if that's what you're into, okay but thats not what Im into so I just want to express my thoughts on this.
First of all, don't worry I dont like gyangu no kai-kata at all too. It was not really a good read. The reason I can say that this particular work is kind of trash is because the author IS jumping on that "omegaverse stereotypical plot wagon" or something, like I mean if it's omegaverse does it mean that you absolutely need to have rape in the plot? Also I DO LIKE omegaverse just not those ones with bad plots. There are many omegaverse stories with healthy relationships and I tend to have those as the standard everytime I read or want to read an omegaverse story and just so it happens that this doesn't reach that standards, I can call it trashy if I want to. You can just sit back and ignore or just fetshize all you want but it's not like that for me. I want to read something with a nice plot. Not plots like these, but if you enjoy this particular plot then I don't know about you but you can do whatever you fucking like.
