What if Ruby is his actual daughter who he thought died, the mage somehow with magic and stole her when she was still unborn to use as a child soldier since she has a powerful magic and he wants to have a powerful soldier to control and its the fact that she is also the duke’s child, the thought of having full control of a powerful mage that’s also the child of the person you hate gives the magic king pleasure, and they somehow changed her appearance to match the magic king with magic idk how (im guessing something like body transfer) but that will somehow correlate on why she has a scar, and that’s why when she was missing the magic king is looking for her cause he doesn’t want her identity to be discovered and he doesn’t wanna lose a valuable piece. The fact that she is actually 10 yrs old and the mage incident happened 10 yrs ago. I mean the king did say “the jewel he seized”.
Ngl It would really be funny if this is true, cause this would be like the 2nd “I adopted a child, who turns out to be my actual child” manhwa.

in one of the chapters, when the evil white haired mage talks about our FL, the man said «she’s missing again, but this time she has a physical body» or something like that.
So I theories that he originally stole her—Like u said—but he only stole her soul (which was conducted through the mage which the duchess helped who attacked her). However something happened which then caused her to be sent to a different world (which explains her previous life memories).
Thos would explain how the og daughter was born dead (as was stated in the chapter which the grandpa had his knee treated), as without the soul, the body was «empty» and therefore deemed dead?
I hope this makes sense… it’s 3 am so my brain is off.
Ooohh, I can actually see it, it can explain why she transmigrated to the modern world.
