I’m back bc I just thought about this tragedy of a manhwa today. Yoseob’s parents are scum of the earth but he was given a new life. Since it was also partially Jaeha’s fault for finessing his parents, it wouldn’t be fair to put the whole blame on him as he was a kid, same with Taeoh. Everyone in this story makes mistakes but the ones I can’t get over are jaeha’s parents. I forgot the details of this story but weren’t the parents advised by professionals that there were issues with Yoseob? Sure, they weren’t the catalyst for the terrible events that happen in the end but they could’ve prevented them. How you could trust a kid’s (jaeha) words that yoseob didn’t need treatment? They were the adults, they should have been more careful and rational when dealing with an abused child. Yoseob could’ve gotten better if he got professional help smh

Ikr? I was specially upset when Jaeha parents were scolding him when he told them everything about Yoseob. Like, where you ever there to give psychological support to your child so he wouldn't feel the need to cling to his brother and mold him however he liked? Maybe as a parent you should've seen this coming.

For anyone who is confused about the ending, this is my own interpretation. Law ended the moritat experiment as soon as Jesse chose him bc like Jesse said, he couldn't handle staying with Jesse. Law tried and tried to make Jesse choose him and once he succeeded, he wanted it to end with a good note, to "preserve" that feeling and situation. Law feared that if he chose Jesse again, in the end, Jesse will leave him while he will stay dependent on Jesse. Law wanted to believe that Jesse will forever choose him and accept him, for that reason, he decided to let Jesse go because then, even if they can't be together, law still has the reassurance of that Jesse once choosing him. He didn't want Jesse to have a chance to leave him bc that'll ruin the "perfect ending". That explains why law consoles himself with the euphoric image of Jesse at the end.
I see some people are also confused as to why law made Jesse take part in the moritat simulations, well, like I mentioned above, law wanted to have the "perfect ending" even just once. After all these years, law can't let go of Jesse.
AHHHH, I just love this manhwa so much ;; people may have a different take on the ending and that's fine, but this makes the most sense to me. Hope this helps

This one makes a lot more sense. And I'm happy that Jesse, in reality, came to tell Law that he doesn't have to console himself with a VR version of Jesse but actually be with the real Jesse.

I think Law's parents died by Mrs. Brown's doing and not an accident, because she wants to make sure Law will complete Moritat and make millions for Brown, and Law's mother was a threat to that because she wants Law to become independent of Jesse (by sending Law abroad to study and get away from Jesse), and Mrs. Brown knows Law's dependence on Jesse is the only leverage she has.

Jesse sees that Law feels relieved that his parents are dead and Law can't use his parents as an excuse to study abroad anymore, which makes Law say 'everything will be alright now' or something like that, because now he can stay with Jesse forever. Which makes Jesse feel bad(?) that Law is playing right into his mother's plans, so now Jesse asks his mother to cut off all ties with Law to fulfill Jesse's wish 'not to be controlled' anymore. Which to me shows how much Jesse actually cares for Law (in his twisted way).

What I find puzzling is how come Jesse says it's Law's fault that he's now studying in a shitty school? And how come Law still owned Moritat when he was sent away by the Brown's? I thought Mrs. Brown would at least take Moritat's idea and developed it and earn millions from it? How come after being sent away for 5 years, Law had the funds to develop Moritat and actually operate it?

There's just these little loose strings that kept me feeling satisfied with the ending. But overall, this is a yandere masterpiece with the Memento and Inception movie vibes. ヾ(☆▽☆)

I think because Jesse got accused of experimenting on a maid, his reputation got tarnished, thus instead of attending a prestigious school, his mother wanted him to go to a lesser school and mingle with the common people so they see him in a different light. After all it is the public he has to be careful off. Just my guess.

About Moritat, Jesse mentions in ch 33 that the project was unsuccessful and all data was erased. Since it never operated, it never belonged exclusively to them. So Mrs Brown couldn't sue him. This is has to do with the law of ownership which I´m not sure of.

Or maybe because nobody, including Jesse, knew that Law had managed to make it work, maybe he used Moritat secretly without Mrs Brown´s knowledge, until he kidnapped Jesse ofc. Since after all the only person working beside him was the maid, so we can assume only she knew.
About the funds, his parents died after all, so he probably inherited all their property and assets and could fund it.

The author is so ridiculously vague ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ we have to fit the puzzles ourselves with the few hints there is.

i make peace with the ending by thinking that sangwoo lured bum to his death bc of the promise they made to each other
