my thoughts so far; subin actually being a boring loser is ironically her most interesting trait. her long haired friend seems very airheaded, but there might be more than meets the eye. the other two boys seem relatively normal. the student council prez might be self-serving. i dont know what to feel about orange hair yet.
sarang, you deserve a nice family and friends who are genuine to you. it has to be difficult to be a neurodivergent teenager, basically orphaned, and no source of income. she obviously needs actual help and not these conniving dramatic ass teenagers she's stuck with.
tbh im glad that the romance is de-centered. it is much more interesting to read about an MC who shows genuine regard and fondness for humans. while most of the human characters act in mindless worship, and at first glance it would seem only the relationship of Na-in and Amon matters most and trumps all, it is quickly balanced out by Na-in who is critical of it all.
His perspective allows for us to actually observe the characterisation of the servants who typically do not matter. I am reminded of the servant characters in many other manhwa who are simply relegated to what they narratively can give to the noble main characters, uncritical and blindly obedient. I like Iwu a lot because of this, he surprisingly has "class-consciousness" in the context of this divine setting. Na-in also seems to find the place where Gwen's roots come from more agreeable, in which humans hold jurisdiction over their own fates, and Gods, while still revered, serve the humans in a sense.
It is a breath of fresh air from the amount of awareness that Na-in has, after being so tired of reading a lot of rofan manhwa where the morally bankrupt treatment of the lower-class is accepted without question from main characters we are meant to root for.
