i had high expectations for this and i dont know if im missing something but it wasnt that good or interesting. the art is good and thats about as good as it gets for me. Just not my cup of tea i guess
No, I agree.
The ending felt so rushed, and the final message is so adolescent and boring. Mistaking the value of standing up for oneself, being selective in your social connections, pragmatic, etc. for justification to be malicious is so puerile. It's the type of shit that produces the Trumps of the world. This work is just Ayn Rand-ism.
so i dont remember exacts but there was this omega who was a stripper and he had long hair and was built, someone bit him i think and he was ashamed or something, i never finished it and read it before i had a proper account, if anyone knows please tell me the name as it has haunted me since ┗( T﹏T )┛
they both needed a reality check but idk how i feel about this
I’m not asking to sound rude or anything. I just want to see your view in how Ban needs a reality check. To me he seems to be very aware of the predicament he put himself into and engages in self destructive behavior because he is just used to it or feels most comfortable in it. I would love to see your view on it!
Not rude at all! If I'm confusing let me know and I'll try my best to clear anything up this really long so I apologise for that aswell!
I think Ban is a very sympathetic character and his situation from what we have seen is pretty miserable. Reality check wasn't the best term for his situation specifically (quite a big generalisation on my part tbf) but what I meant was that he needs to be shaken out of his self destruction (which needs more than just a confrontation from a guy he doesn't really know obviously) and be reminded that what he is doing isnt sustainable from someone who cared. I absolutely don't think this can be achieved quickly and Shinwi needs to realise Ban is surviving his reality the best way he knows how (and calling him a slut was redundant.) and that from bans perspective he has no reason to care what Ban does to himself and Shinwi needs to do this quickly. However i really think Ban needed to see that there is at least one person who wants better for him, obviously its very complex and will require time and patience from Shinwi that he clearly doesn't have right now but I think they needed to see each others perspectives in order to move past their current hurdles. Ban accepting Shinwis concern is vital in him moving on from his own situation as we know he wont move on by himself and in order for that to even happen Shinwi needs to get over himself for the sake of any future relationship (not even a romantic one but one where they both stand on equal ground with each other which they clearly do not have right now).
TLDR Shinwis concern could help inspire Ban to reflect on his own behaviour but its too early for this specific argument to really change Bans mindset especially when emotions are so high and they both know so little about each other!
This is somewhat me guessing how things need to go and obviously this could be proven wrong, to me Ban needs a reason to care and move away from the shady detective guy and clearly Shinwi cares, his reaction is immature and ignorant but does come from a place of sincere concern and hopefully they both see that.
Im sorry if this doesnt answer your question properly but this is my view on their current situation and why i think ban needed to hear pushback just as much as Shinwi needed his reality check!
