had to drop immediately, why do manhwas insist on this weird shit?? i don’t mind age gap manhwas but when they knew each other when one was a child and the other was an adult it throws everything off completely
Yeah, while I love this manhwa, I also have to agree with that, unfortunately.
This type of premise is what I dislike the most about but for some reason, it makes sense for the plot?? Okay, don't get me wrong, there's many ways of them to meet up without the weird ass meet-up age gap but tbf, they're not even mentally okay, and being together just fuels it so ig match made in hell??
Not defending it, just saying based on my observation from reading all the chapters. It's valid why you dropped it so hoping you find good age gap stories
It’s genuinely crazy as fuck how far you’d guys go to read some porn that you would baby a grown adult women who obviously knows of slavery and the massacre of native american’s, otherwise she wouldn’t have written this shit show story. Black people weren’t the only people who faced enslavement, koreans were as well. So for her to not only treat the enslavement of black people like dark romance fiction she’s also disrespecting her own ancestors and what they’ve gone through. (not to mention north korea is also like modern day enslavement) This is not a cute little quirky mistake she made, this is real life and years of history being watered down for gay erotica and it’s genuinely disgusting and disturbing how okay you guys are with this. You’ve already allowed rape culture, incest, and pedophilia into yaoi when is enough a enough?
its really crazy how some ppl, even other black users, don't find anything bad about the story when the author literally took inspiration based on real events
Good for the author cancelling this manhwa, but it ruined her rep, and honestly? this what they get for using slave x master trope, thinking that she wouldn't get big backlash
girl, we ain't even talking abt disney?? where did u even come up w that??
also fyi, i wasn't born when that came out lol, but im sure some did before but at that time, criticizing it was looked down upon so ofc, they weren't able to. Geez, for trying to defend this manhwa, u really had to involve disney into this lmao
Disney has been criticized for the Pocahontas movie and even their Dumbo movie for its depictions of racism and white colonialism romance. I don’t know what your point is with this comparison, but you need to stop infantilizing this author like they didn’t know what narrative they trying to push and overall what they were doing.
I'm naming the most famous example, but just because Pocahontas was years ago, it doesn't mean it doesn't keep happening now with people lenient about ut.
I still remember how I watched first episode of Yellostown show and how they portrayed indians as thieves, who steal cows of hard working white businesman who was main lead of the show.
And you didn't read even few chapters of the story to tell what author doing and what kind of narrative they pushing.
the way you're crying all over this comment section pulling out strawmans outta your ass is hilarious "b-b-but this piece of media didn't get criticized" i've never heard of yellowstone but googling yellowstone criticism shows mutiple websites criticizing not only the racism but other things as well and if you think pocahantas of all things has never been criticized you must be living under a rock
the author clearly knew where she was going with the story which is why she dropped it after reflecting after the criticism otherwise she would've just continued it goofy
I'm not pulling anything out of my ass but saying how hypocrite y'all are.
Oh yeah, Yellowstone was sooo widely criticised, it was one of the most popular shows, lasted 5 season, multiple spin-offs and made a very successful franchize. And mind it, the storyline I described started since first episode.
ngl you sound goofy af and be arguing just to argue atp others have already told you why you're a dumbass so i'm not engaging with you any further
saying we're crashing out meanwhile you're fighting for your life in others comment sections bringing up pocahontas when people are telling you it has been widely criticized for years pack it up the author said what she said COPE
im rereading this after the new season cs why not, ive reread this like 3 times basically and i never knew how bad of a mom taesung mom was. but its actually so painfully to read now that my brain and media literacy has developed a bit. she’s actually annoying me & making me feel so bad for taesung, no wonder most of the time he has a hard time showing emotions
i haven’t read this in forever, and I can see why I dropped it. The ML reminds me of Cat from victorious where in season 1 she had an actual personality and then later seasons they infantilized her so bad it became annoying, this is exactly what they’re doing with the ML. he never acted like this before and I don’t know why they’re starting to make him be that way, and then to add on the fact that he’s literally paler, dull palate and more baby faced compared to before. I know sometimes art gets sucky as the artist faces health problems but I honestly just think this artists/author is into shotas if u look at their other manhwa titled “Daddy & I”

so geumryang doesn’t age right? but we seen him as a child and he grew into an adult so does he jusr stop there? and also i thought snakes live up to 30 years (when in captivity and taken care of by humans) so wouldn’t they just age together idk im confused
Yes, he's immortal. And yes they do start as a baby/child but they stop aging at one point.
Geumryang is deity, so he won’t age like a mortal
