Who has seen the raws/bad translations of ch 44?? Bc I have thoughts and am kinda worried after seeing them.
well i saw a glimpse of it after reading your comment and honestly i’m worried a bit too, but i mean if it’s some time later then maybe it’s not too bad?? and still, hyo-un is not actually a child, so i’m not sure how to feel about this. maybe in these 5 chapters enough happens that the “mindset” difference is not as significant? (by mindset difference i mean the difference between an adult and a being that takes a form of a child and behaves like one)
Yeah yeah, exactly as you said. I forgot his name too. But the guy who took hyo-un in. He still didn't seem 100% on board with what Hyo-un was trying to do at the end of ch 44. I mean with present human MC, he also didn't consent in ch 2, so it wouldn't be surprising if thats the direction author took...
but if THIS is how Hyo-un and his lover(and descendants) came to be bonded (through non-con), then it'll be interesting if there is conversations about it later on... ofc it's all speculation and we'll just have to wait for later chs
Okay, so I was talking to my friend who, like me, started reading this manga in like 2014. Back then, we were a lot younger and were not bothered by sexual assault and even found it romantic.
.....
He told me that KB is genuinely an interesting depiction of how a couple comes to terms with the sa that morinaga committed against Souichi and how we are let in to Souichi's bisexuality and likely asexuality. In many ways he's grown closer to morinaga as domestic partners. Sometimes he does have sexual desires that Morinaga obliges, but most times he leaves Morinaga in the cold. I wouldn't go as far as to say Souichi is sex-averse, but more like sex is a hassle that's not worth his time unless it's to please his partner. Plus he used to be super homophobic and has overcome that. The fact that he's a prude is asides the point. Of course, this is more of a reparative reading of the manga, and I'm not sure what the author's intent was in writing this couple for over a decade, but there are still things to take out of it if you're a long-time reader.
Do I read manga/webtoons that feature sa between mc and ml? NOPE. I really hate sexual assault as a PLOT DEVICE because it is 99/100 times unnecessary. But in this manga, I'm analyzing it as if it was that 1/100 where there is a conversation around it.
Yeah, nowadays, I wouldn't even give a chance to any recent manga/story depicting sa in any shape of form, but I started this back in 2008 I think - among other mangas of the genre that not only uses sa as a plot point but as in 2023 haven't ended- and the only reason I keep on reading them it's to know what the end goal is.
Like, are the main characters that usually take the role of being the bottom accept their feelings or will it be more complex and realistic situation than that and they'll figure that their sexuality and current choices were product of a series of, rather unfortunate, episodes?
Also, most of these stories takes place in modern Japan, so how/will the authors give the characters a happy ending, even when the social mandates and constructs are way too many?
As you, I'm intrigued where this is going and when it'll end.
Not yucking anyone's yum. With that said, I don't like how vampire ethan looks. Just too pale and it doesn't feel like him. It's also bc I'm not used to it, but still
I liked exacly this uncany valley, cuz it is Ethan but not human Ethan, I think it works like the Bella swan vampires, there is something creepy about not even being able to recognize your own daughter
well vampire supposed to be *too* pale
i am okay with whatever he looks ,he is not my lover and "trinity blood" abel nightroad is the most handsome vampire ,and great art
