I think everyone just put themselves in Tei shoes. Like imagine you husband calling you 'beloved' and looks like the end of the world when mentioning about side chicks but then learn that he already has one. So yeah
It’s more of so everyone is looking through Tei’s viewpoint. He had suggested that his husband take on another woman, etc. only for said husband to become mad and dismiss this only for Tei to find out that his husband HAS concubines. Tei and Shuraka are not yet at the point of just blind trust. It’s only natural for Tei to assume the worst, he already views himself as nothing so why wouldn’t Shuraka seek other people? Is pretty much how he views it.
