"The one with a Villainess" is about a girl named Emi, who gets transported into a body of a Villainess, who is supposed to get her engagement with the crown prince broken and get exiled, but instead decides to be good. Sounds typical right? Except the real villainess is watching Emi all this time and basically falls in love with her. When the heroine arrives, the story stays the same and Emi's heart breaks from everyone betraying her. She and the Villainess switch places again and the villainess goes on a villainous journey. A demon king falls in love with her, but it seems she only cares about Emi and doesn't really care about him. The art is amazing, it especially gets to shine, when the artists gets to draw gods or MC's evil expressions.
Actually, if I can somehow make you read one manga, then please, please, please read Burning effect. Basically no romance. It's an action manhwa with interesting ideology and cool fights. The cast is made of both female and male characters and male characters aren't afraid to hit female characters and female characters aren't weaker. The story is complete and complicated, but absolutely not making shit up as it goes. If you reread it, you can see important plot points come up in super early chapter. Mc gets groped in the first/second chapter and immediately kills/or nearly kills the perpetrator and that's the first and last time the story uses typically female trauma on her. God it's such a cool story if you read it, please let me know how you liked it. Revolution! Found family! Racism and abelian allegories! So much family!!! Gah!!!! It has it all.
