The story thus far has not given us any indication that Taeseo was acting for anything other than carnal reasons. Honestly, I'm just glad he said it straight early on, instead of glossing over the situation or ignoring it entirely. I love a story with some good character development, and while this webtoon is clearly lacking this on a fundamental level, I have learned to read this every couple weeks with zero expectations in that regard. Hell, I even pay for the chapters. Why? The art itself is good enough to come back for. That, and there's a lot of detail in the world-building aspects-- the characters are just frustrating as hell.
