Has anyone else noticed that the story/characters are really similar to the BL light novel "Nurturing the Hero to Avoid Death"? It's not the exact same, but in NHAD the characters are called Lian and Alfred (here it's Lyren and Albert), both are transmigration stories where the MC becomes a noble NPC that knows the future, the character designs AND behaviour of the characters are similar. Both stories feature a fujoshi saint (/goddess in NHAD) that roots for the MCs romance. And both stories also feature the MC having an older brother (here the brother is an average NPC, in NHAD the brother is a creep). But the biggest difference is that Albert in this oneshot is a psychopath and Alfred in NHAD is actually pretty nice (though the novel is dubious in their consent too). this oneshot kind of feels like a condensed PWP version of the novel, and i really love both the novel and this oneshot, but i'm seriously wondering if this many similarities can really be a coincidence...?!
I mean yeah, it could be a fan work specifically inspired by the novel. i'm not judging the artist if it is, i was just curious if anyone else noticed it, or if anyone knows if it was done on purpose. I really loved the doujin and i'm also loving the novel...
