Why is almost the whole book about the relationship of the coworker with the seme?

Why is the seme such a freaking red flag? Yoshino is too lenient. I honestly want Yoshino receiving the respect and love he deserves. Seme needs to suffer more an get a grip. Right now the dude does not deserves Yoshino at all.
