I don’t usually read novels, but I was so impatient for this one, and it was worth it.
Yes got to suck it up no matter how dark and traumatizing it was. But in all honesty I think the blame should be put to Juliet. To be fair Dominic has been good to him it was Juliet who betrayed that love. If only Dominic got the kind of love his child and grandchildren had then the Miller children wouldn’t have turned up like that.
All Miller children is no doubt Dominic’s through and through. Their obsession and possessiveness when it comes to the person they fallen for is immeasurable the only difference is those obsession and possessiveness are all welcomed by the subject of their love and the love they given are all returned to them. Ironically it was only Dominic who wasn’t able to get that kind of love so he forced it. But like I said it was all Juliet’s fault. If he didn’t intentionally made Dominic fall for him and betrayed him then Ashley probably grow up without trauma. But then again he probably wouldn’t even met Koi since Ashley originally lives in the East and the only reason he got in the West is because he’s escaping his parents.
I did the same and I genuinely regret that. I should have read lick me up if you can first. It bothered me to know juliet is still somewhere locked up with no one saving him. Honestly speaking I read LMUC just to get one glimpse of juliet(which we didn't get btw) but atleast I know of his demise so it was somewhat worth reading it. I couldn't focus on ash and koi's story at all and ruined the fun for myself. Though yeah I don't regret reading it because I understood why ash behaves a certain way :')
True! But this also what I say to those who are not novel reader that blames their parents on how the Miller siblings behaves.
Ashley made a lot of terrible mistakes and he owns it up but the damaged has done and the only person he can feel emotions is Koi. Adding to the fact that Juliet never held him nor given him affection which made Ashley think that it is OK to only give necessary affection to the children. It didn’t help the fact that the kids tried to kills their birth mother. Koi is everything for Ashley like he said if Koi is not in this world without second thoughts he will do what his father did (he will set exit). I still applaud Ashley because even after that incident he still managed the children even after all of them have their own partners and children. His affection may be a mess when it comes to his own children but we can’t completely invalidate the fact that he did better than his own father in raising them.
I just pity both Domimic and Juliet (Dominic in a sense that his love was never returned by Juliet till the end) (Juliet for not escaping Dominic till death the man followed him.)
Yes, Juliet plays a big part in it. You can't excuse what Dominic did to Juliet, but at the same time Juliet is the reason why it happened. How far he would have gone for Juliet..., but when he found out about Juliet's betrayal, that he only used him ....while he already gotten a ring... . And Juliet should have known how dangerous someone like Dominic could be, trying to pulling something off like he did is just beyond stupid.
The question is how much the betrayal really impacted Dominic's decision to do that he did.
Of the children I think the most like Dominic is really Grayson, that is also what Ashley thinks. Him being born manifested, made him potentially much more dangerous, but at the same time probably more open for other personality traits.^^
Grayson wasn't betrayed like Dominic, but he was in a situation (in which his other siblings weren't) where could have potentially gone the Dominic route.
From what I saw so far, his siblings certainly wouldn't go the Dominic route, they find another way. But them or Ashley, I don't think they would have done the same as Grayson did. Even Chase, I can' see him doing the same Grayson did.
Well, if it weren't for the messed up upbringing, I don't think that any of them would have ended up with the person they ended up with.^^
So true!!! Finally I found someone who gets my logic and analysis in the whole story of all the novels revolving that family! Often times
Novel readers who doesn’t want to read other novels that surrounds it take the characters as is as what they had been described from the POV of the another character (for instance in Chase’s novel KMIYC) to be honest I really hated Greyson and their parents in that story and then I accidentally read EMUIYC) yes I read it by accident thought it was another Miller story. Then got curious with Domimic and Juliet’s son’s story not knowing it was the story of their parents. That’s when I start piecing out what really happened. I was able to read Greyson’s story with lighter heart and more open mindness because of that. I can’t blame everything to just one person. But Koi is right when he told his children that someday someone will appear and will love and understand them.
What people can’t understand that the Miller siblings are not like any other dominant alphas like Kieth, Winston or Henry. They are special just like
what Koi told Dane and it can’t be helped. Even Ashley took all the blame and fault for only giving Koi kids who didn’t just inherited his traits but also the damaged he made to his body. All that self harm he did really did haunt him.
Well but you are right, if it weren’t for Juliet and Dominic’s messed up love affair Ashley wouldn’t gone to the West where he met Koi and if it weren’t for the self harm that Ashley did to himself they wouldn’t have 6 children (which story we enjoyed today.) As messed up as that family is they are still lucky to find someone who can return that love to them so they wouldn’t end up like Dominic because to be honest those children has the potential to be like Dominic specially Greyson and Nathaniel.
Juliet was definitely in the wrong for trying to deceive Dominic but honestly speaking atp dominic is so evil in my mind that I don't even consider him human. His feelings being betrayed feels nothing to me now. When it happened I felt really shocked and I was just worried about what would happen next but he just crossed all the damn limits. And the fact he follows him even in death sighh god let that man rest in peace.
It's like you wouldn't blame a woman who deceived Donald Trump right? That is the level of evil dominic was before meeting juliet. It was stupid yes, but really no one could have predicted he would go THIS far. If we were not familiar with the miller family even we as readers wouldn't know so how was juliet supposed to? He could have ruined him financially and his image, psychologically destroy him but he completely degraded him to a human simply made to have sex and baby with. It's just..sigh traumatizing
One might say all of his obsessive love for juliet turned into this extremely corroding obsessive hatred which he disguised under possesiveness.
Yeah that’s why I said he brought it upon himself. He is the catalyst and trigger to Dominic. The man truly loved him only for him to trample it. The thing is since it all came down to Juliet clearly leaving him Dominic being the way he is who can’t let go that man would rather ruin Juliet than to let others have him. Remember his POV when he said he now get it why Romeo is prepared to. Die for Juliet. It is he wasn’t sure that Juliet will survive the pregnancy and giving birth is just that Dominic is ready to follow him if he didn’t survive that. That’s how extent his so called love can go. And remember in Ashley’s POV that the fact that Dominic named him after his birth mother is like a branding that anything from Juliet belongs to him. Dang, it took me a lot of pauses just to finish that short novel but still managed to get till the end. Both are in the wrong. Can’t even comprehend how it got twisted when they have so much potential and chemistry. But I guess Juliet’s love for himself and his desires outweighs everything and Dominic got fully blinded with his love and obsession with Juliet.
TBH I was really hopeful with RAIYC because the story of Dominic and Juliet kinds of repeated in that story somehow. For me it’s like redeeming it completely and I’m glad that Nathaniel respected Chrissy’s wish to remain as a Beta. Though the ending is kind of rushed and disappointing but I still think somehow that it’s like redeeming the Dominic and Juliet arc.
Got goosebumps when Nathaniel tied Chrissy in a secluded room which Dominic used to mutate Juliet to an omega. It clicked to me when Nathaniel said that aside from him there are only two people who knows the existence of that room but unfortunately both are now dead. Then I got it, it was that room where Dominic confined Juliet and SA’d him to forced him to become an Omega.
Honestly it just sounds like victim blaming to say juliet brought it upon himself. Dominic was an evil lawyer, who would feel empathy about deceiving him? When his daily occupation involves sucking the blood of the weak. We empathise with him because we know his real feelings but for juliet he is just some guy he needs to step on to get further in life. Perhaps if dominic was half a decent guy I would consider feeling bad for him
Again Dominic could have went a thousand ways about it but he picked the most evil, inhumane method which no one could really predict. This is the real tragedy juliet faces, even though the worst happened to him because of his one mistake it somehow becomes an excuse for Dominic's actions.
Ok someone from Fujushi community spoiled the synopsis of Angel’s story and apparently it will be released soon.
SPOILER ALERT!!!
So we all know that extreme dominant omega are the ultimate dream of extreme dominant alphas and because of their rarity it is almost impossible to meet one in one person’s lifetime.
So Angel belongs in a rich family but not as wealthy and powerful as Pittman and Miller’s like so you get the gist of it.
Anyways, when Angel manifested as Extreme Dominant Omega and news about it got exposed the 5 powerful and wealthy families namely (Pittman, Shepard and 3 undisclosed family yet) had Angel abducted all for the purpose of reproduction (because as what in KML said that union between Extreme traits guaranteed extreme offsprings) so yeah each family pass Angel along so he could bare them offsprings and treated him like prostitute. (Remember Kieth said in KML that he has 4 more half siblings? That is his siblings from Angel). This is also the reason why Angel told Koi to never acknowledged him no matter what because the moment Koi’s trait got exposed we don’t know what those other families will do to get their hands on Koi. This is also the reason why Ashley had it hiden and only told others that Koi is just an Omega. His trait only got to know by others after Ashley marker him.
So back to the story. Angel tried to escape and managed to do so. Years later his mother died out of depression for his disappearance and soon after his father too because he self-exited. Now Angel vowed revenge and decided to comeback to his abductors (Which is stupid Btw?) anyways the abusef and SA’d continued (because I don’t think he has clear plan for his revenge?) So yeah. To the point he bared all five of his abuser
And abductors each children. One of them is Kieth and Henry. Now Kieth’s father one day decides he no longer wants to share Angel so he locked him is a room tailored for him. There he continued to abuse him. Angel got depressed so he tried to sefl-exit bu swallowing a necklace. (This is the reason why Kieth said they can only gift him big jewels and not rings nor necklaces.) Kieth witnessed his father’s abused to Angel and it made him sick to his stomach. He then spend less and less time with Angel which put a cracked to their relationship. (Kieth is the only person Angel talks to.) Kieth one day saw his father’s breaking Angel’s ankle after he attempted to flee and gifted him gifts Afterwards (This is the cause why Kieth vowed to never take in a Male omega) he got so sick of his father’s obsession to his male omega he can’t even call his.
Well that’s as far as the spoiler went.
After that I was in shock and was like Koi is so lucky to only be exclusive with Ashley and Ashley
is so lucky to find Koi. Like dang! No wonder those extreme dominant omegas are freaking hiding and hides their traits.
Well at some point Ashley deserves it because even with the thought that Koi is a Beta he still loves him. (He didn’t even join those scumbags who are flocking Angel and waiting their turns to make him bare their children all because he only had eyes for Koi.) so he deserves Koi through and through.
I don’t think it ended good because in KML he is still in Pittman’s captivity. Remember the phone call he had with Kieth and Kieth was like “You break you other ankle this time? Why do you keep escaping!” So I don’t know. It’s either it will be stockholm or another Juliet. But I don’t think it will be Stockholm because it has been almost 3 decades (based on Koi and Ashley’s children’s age) since he has been in captivity. So I don’t think it will ended up good. I just simply greatful that Ashley met Koi and that he moved West or else he will be friends with Angel’s captors or get himself associated with those psychopaths like Dominic.
The only consolation I had in Juliet’s death was the fact that he died naturally. But the fact that Dominic unable to let go and killed himself to follow him to his death is just so sad effff up. Like what the heck! Just let that man go Sir! But yeah he didn’t, without second thought he burned his own effing mansion and died along with him. How can you get even more messed up?
I don’t think Ashley is the same as his father, though he keeps saying that he is. I think it is all those thoughts that Dominic insttilled of him in hen he was young that made him think of that. He has potential but he never confined Koi. When Koi abandoned him he didn’t abduct and hurt him. And because he loves him so much despite Koi breaking his promise he hurt himself rather than hurting Koi.
Though that trauma still lingers (Proof, he still
Has thoughts of imprisoning him. Ashley as what Greyson said has a lot of Villas to imprison Koi) but remember when Koi asked to heal Dane again and Ashley was afraid because the first time got an adverse affect to Koi and he thought of locking Koi but still Koi’s feelings l mattered to him the most so if he will lock Koi he knew Koi will be disappointed so he let Koi in the promised that he will not over do it.

Damn.. my first time seeing two d
I believe he showed them earlier in the main story
