Yall are so butthurt that Maxi wants to fight by her husband's side to protect her people and is rightly sickened by the idea of running away and leaving others to die. Are yall OK? Maxi has learned how to heal and use magic to defend herself, she's not a child who can't have things explained to her. If the men around her didn't infantalize and refuse to communicate her from the start I guarantee she wouldn't push back so much and be "annoying". What significance does it have to the story for her to be a highschool student? It's giving weird purity culture around younger girls who happen to be virgins. Ml didn't know but why tf would the author want to write this story? This could've been an adult drama about a college student navigating establishing a career for herself while considering the idea of marrying and falling in love while fully breaking into the "adult" world without making her a teenager. This just didn't have to be weird lol, very disappointing
