Its true that she is weak and its because she's just a normal person and her personality is not even bad at all, in fact it was great. She got a strong mentality and she doesn't hesitate at all to tell mc what she wants. She has a strong appeal to mc and she knows that she somehow has to stand next to mc in her way.

Chap 0 explains that the story is a series of flashbacks that the mc gives to another challenger bc hes stuck on floor 60 and the only way to clear ot is with another person. But the mc is the only obe able to clear up until floor 60.
