I was frustrated, mad, and disappointed. So I was curious if this manhwa is based on a novel version and went to see if the novel is as disappointing as the manhwa adaption. Yes, this is an adaption. Yes, there is more plot and lore covered in the novel. I don't know why they decided to axel the manhwa ending and there are so many different reasons that could be why like no more money to pay the illustrator, a sales tactic to blueball readers into seeking out the original webnovel and pay for it,...
Now I don't know why the production team decided on doing this cause I very much clearly don't know how manhwa adaption works, especially for a big corporation like kakao (most likely depending on statistic for popularity?). I do know one thing tho, whoever read this manhwa through official channel (pay to read) must've been hella mad after reading the endings– like HUUUUH????? what happened to the trashy family? That "adopted" sister? The illegitimate prince? Hello that random prophecy that the Demon of Wrath talk about??? Y'all decide it's cool to just leave a bunch of hint to more plot just to slap ~TIME SKIP~ THEN HAPPILY EVER AFTER THE END???? I had to reread the extra chapter 85.5 again, and um how the story was lay out is based on the decision of NONO who is in charge of the adaption story. Working 4 years of blood sweat and tears just to have this cutoff is suspicious, did the higher up decided that the manhwa wasn't making enough profit and decided to cut it off and not pay the producing team anymore (speculation)?
Now that's enough of my yapping rant. Here is some information about the novel, some plot that was glossed or not explained in the manhwa and the ending based on what I gathered as secondhand information from mighty internet, novel forum and blog of those who actually read the novel (apologies beforehand that this isn't firsthand information, I simply don't have the movey and time to read the entire novel and it takes too long for me to read the entire novel minus latest 10 chapters for free from official site and I don't want to waste that much of my time)
First of all, the novel has a total of 192 chapters, that includes 15 side chapters.
TIME TRAVEL: It seems that when the FL died after getting shot by the arrow. The ML offered up both her heart and his eyes as sacrifice to help revive FL and I guess that 'revival' was to send her back, or reverse the world's time. (Which is which idk)
ILLEGITIMATE PRINCE: After being sent to live with his aunt, his later reappearance was described by the blogger as showing up as an adult and then coollingly letting the FL go.
THE EMPEROR: Not a single good comment about him. He was used by the main cast as a sacrifice to summon the Great Demon King. Saw someone saying that he got off easy.
THE FL' MENTOR AND FIONE: It seemed like FL dad held him hostage at some point cause he has an antidote for Fione's illness.
ADOPTIVE SISTER: She didn't appear alot in the novel. Could be said that she barely was mentioned.
FL'S MOM: It seemed that FL has inherited the golden dragon power.
THE GREAT DEMON KING: It seemed that girly was mad offended that the sacrifce used for her summoning was a trashy digusting emperor. Consider how the author state that using demonic powers comes at a price, FL didn't seem to suffered any consiquences, in fact, she was very comfortably ordering her around.

While reading through both the comment sections and the blog review, I came to the realisation that uh- the FL was 11 years old in >85% of the story. I gotta agree with the Korean readers, that's hella weird, why make a child go through such intense thing. Heck most of the cast like the twins are prob below 16.
