I know everyone is mad at people for complaining of the art style change but I don’t like it either ╥﹏╥ it just looks like every other common style and the one before was at least different and had more idk just warmth to it of course it’s not a bad story but I hate when artsyles change for the worse in a story it’s still very much read able let people complain we’ll still read it anyway (￣∇￣")
Honestly the duke sucks, he didn’t even try to change after two lives. and let her back in with her mother in laws after being killed by them once and he just left her cold-blooded after giving birth..he didn’t try to change once and wouldn’t have until he heard the marriage was annulled and the only thing I can feel pity for him is the reason he’s probably like that was because of the mother in laws and he only studied and trained to be in the north since he was kid to when he was 20 then had trauma from the war but that doesnt change the fact he only loved her because she was beautiful at first and doesn’t want her happy unless it’s with him.
Exactly he didn’t even know her as a person, her character and personality so of course you would be shocked that the wife you barely knew acted differently from the view you had of her. To be very honest with you it wasn’t love either it was obsession cause if he did lover her in any way he would’ve made effort to know her and make sure she felt and was safe in his domain as far as his authority lied he basically kept her as a bird in a cage he could come home and release his stresses on her but made no effort to care for nor pamper.

While I no longer hate Nephthys as much as I used to (though I still consider her brain-lobotomized version like the worst mother in history), to me she still remains a boring character... so they'd have to develop her character a lot more. On the other hand, while I do get people's reasoning for it, I consider her getting back with Seth to mean the end of a significant part of the drama in this story, a perfectly "neat" ending that my drama-loving azz would ALSO find insufferably boring (like, too "vanilla"?). It's like, there's no challenge in writing nor in understanding such an ending... (as in, neither a challenge for the author to write it, nor a challenge for readers to "understand" it).
