Is this a surprise to anyone? That's her routine, she always takes breaks longer than 6 months between volumes (since, you know, last update was in JUNE). I just hope we don't end up waiting all these months for 10 pages....

So sorry for hitting the annoying button, i don't really mean to hit that. Sensei did mention on her twitter that her health is not good so she can't draw as much as she used to but she's still thinking about her fan and bacause of that she's trying her best.

It's a surprise for me because I started reading all the chapters of VF nearly a year and a half ago, so I didn't know how long we had to wait when Ayano Yamane finishes her tankoubon.

And I think it's rather atypical to take so much time if we compare it with the other authors (the majority of them). I don't remember having seen another mangaka taking 6 months or more between two books.

There's no judgment in my words, but I didn't know it would be that long. And now, I even wonder if we'll have the chapter 54 in the next issue of the Be x Boy Gold magazine (especially when you say that the author's break is longer than 6 months).

So what happens if you do wait all these months and it is only 10 pages? What will you do then? Stop reading it for free? That'll sting. You guys act like this woman personally owes you for something you're taking from her for free. Bye to you, too.

Not a surprise because this happened before the release of Vol 7. She is not as prolific as she used to be, but since she is continuing draw, I'm just happy for that. Other mangaka do produce more, but like the rest of us, everybody is different and she has slowed down since her father died. The Finder franchise is making money for the publisher, so they may not be pushing the issue. Vol 7 had 3 different cover releases (regular, Animate & Amazon had special covers) showing the success of this series even with slower output. I'd rather she pace herself and continue to work, rather than put the series on hiatus.

Having said this, the weird part of me visualizes an Usagi/Aikawa relationship between Yamane and her editor.

I might be shocked with the update news, but I'M MORE SHOCKED with her health news!! God I hope she's okay!!! Seems like she's tired from making manga>__< . No no nono not as in bored. Tired as in working too much >_<
And she's still drawing manga because she thinks of her fans :'(

Yes. Here is what she says in her latest tweet:"Next year it will release the comics in the spring. I wait a little more."

Potentially that could also mean the April edition. I think we can say Feb earliest, but not definitely Feb.

Okay, I have some couples Halloween ideas: Asami as the Devil and Aki as an angel (with wings). Fei as Sampson and Yoh as Delilah. Kirishima as mark Anthony and Souh as Cleopatra. Mikhail as Romeo and Sudou as Juliet. Mitarai as Bonnie and Sakazaki as Clyde. Oh, and Kuroda as Spike and me as Buffy. Because.

so the next chap will be release in spring but someone write that the volume 8 will be on sale in spring 2016 ? well i was suprised coz the story seems to be complicated and they are lot of things still not clear now it's ok! sensei take ur time and come back with terrific story.

Volume 8 doesn't necessarily have to contain the complete story. It could run into a third volume.

For me, a "release in spring" is not on the april issue (so a release of the magazine in february, because it's still winter). I may be wrong of course, but I think we'll have the chapter in april, with the june issue of the magazine.

With her health problems, she's slower than usual and maybe, for the time being, she also wants to concentrate a little bit more on Crimson Spell because the last releases of this story didn't contain a lot of pages and the readers were rather angry. If we consider the commercial aspect of that, it's not really good for her and for her publisher too, because it's a risk that people decide to drop the manga.

Well the English, French, German, Korean and Chinese editions have the whole series up to volume 7, there's about no reasons they won't be picking up volume 8 as well.

The release dates, well, if we compare it to volume 7's releases:
Japanese: 8/10/2013
English: 11/26/2014 (16 months after)
French: 2/26/2014 (7 months after)
German: 4/2014 (8 months after)
Korean: 10/2/2013 (2 months after)
Chinese: 9/2013 (1 month after)

You can probably expect something similar. That would be:
Japan: Spring 2016
English: Summer 2017
French: Fall 2016
German: Fall 2016
Korean: Spring 2016
Chinese: Spring 2016

So is the general thinking that with Prayer in the Abyss will conclude in vol 8? Vol 7 had the first 9 chapters, currently the arc is at chapter 18 but the last few chapters have been short. However if the next chapter is due in Feb 2016 (as seems to be the general consensus) and vol 8 will be in released in spring 2016 also and contain the full story, that only gives the Feb 16 and April 16 chapters to finish the arc. Two chapters doesn't seem a lot, given the number of threads to tie up...

Escaping from the roof top,
Mikhail's role in all this,
What happens with Sudou and Sakazaki,
Kuroda's relationship with Asami,
Aaron and his group of smugglers,
Asami finding out about Akihito and Sakazaki,
At least one sex scene I'm guessing...

Just read the new chapter. My favourite part is definitely Kirishima telling Akihito to stop shooting because he might hit his boss. :D Yeah, total vote of confidence there, Kirishima.

Akihito : I will help out too
Kirishima : No you will shoot the boss, go sit in the helicopter!

Yes, poor Aki!! In my opinion, Kirishima's comments towards Akihito are as funny as unnerving. I like Kirishima and I know he's very strict and loyal to Asami but he's always treating Akihito like a child and, yes, like a nuisance, you found the right word.

It's true that Aki is sometimes reckless and naive but, most of the time, he's cunning and has useful talents. Kirishima saw Akihito escaping from him and jumping from a roof in the first volume. It was very dangerous but he succeeded. I think he should acknowlege that Akihito can also be a helping hand and not shoot Asami by mistake!

And besides, Akihito already saved Asami's ass twice that night (and the night isn't even over!). a) frying pan swing b) warning Asami of a shooter from the right. So on the "saving the boss" Richter scale that's currently:
Akihito: 2
Kirishima: 0 (but from the looks if it, he's getting there... ;) )

Yes, so Kirishima should have a little bit more confidence in Akihito. They want the same thing: escaping safe with Asami and also protect him.

they are partners, mikahel was the mysterious one involved with sudoh and the other politician i forget his name.

Until the manga actually confirms it, it's still speculation. You can't assume all that from them being on the same page together. Sensei does always like to throw in a twist, so I'll leave my opinions open to anything.

It's a promising chapter with a lot of actions and emotions. Akihito doesn't seem to be badly injured but he and Asami are in an awkward situation. Fortunately, Kirishima comes to help.

I wonder what are the true intentions of the russian because the guy with the scare who is shooting at them looked at Akihito with a strange and eager expression. He seems to be insane, exactly like Yuri.

They obviously want to kill Asami at the same time but I can't put aside the thought that they also could have come to kill Akihito. I wonder if there're not two sort of people who are aiming two different persons:

Mikhail aiming Asami for business. And the other guy (related with Yuri perhaps) aiming mostly Akihito (for business to weaken Asami but mostly because there're insane and like "chasing prey"). I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong but I find their (the guy with the scar who's shooting and Yuri when he was on Feilong's ship in volume 5) facial expressions really strange.

And I wonder what Mikhail will do with Sudoh. Nothing good obviously.

I can't wait to read the whole chapter but I think we'll have another frustrating cliffhanger.
