It's hard work to reassure a person with little self-confidence that they're good enough for someone seemingly perfect. I'd say the process of him coming to terms with it taking a long time is rather realistic. Changing someones mindset isnt easily done (=・ω・=)

Tbh one of the first stories i’ve read that portrays the constant selfmonologue and inner-conflict so well. I don’t think his thought pattern is weird, anyone who has had a intense crush knows that thinking very clearly is not really happening and the constant overanalizing of every slight reaction is just a given. It just pairs VERY bad with the current situation (and the background trauma only intensifies it even further).
No spoiler just speculation but it almost feels like Guwon’s character was manufactured for this world (like in a facility or something), his whole being and knowledge is only based on what is relevant to this current world-order. For example even the basics when it comes down to words, he seems to only know the words he ‘needs to know’ to rule in this kind of word.

I do think the break was necessary, both have grown alot since they met eachother but there was still much they needed to overcome. I feel like Jae really had alot of character development during the relationship and in the end was able to give a secure relationship (not saying he did it perfectly). I think Garam is the opposed in that sense he sees things clearer once having distance and grows more when being apart; he also still has many trauma’s he couldn’t quite get over and was reflecting it on his current relationship. So yeah I do think it was much needed.
I think is necessary, it's hard when u love someone and this person don't want to assume u, always telling everybody he's ur friend because this person don't want anybody to find out.
Yeah I get why Jae is kind of offended in this, everyone would want to show off their significant other that they love dearly. But I also understand that Garam has alot of unresolved issues regarding being outed that he still needs to work through to understand where Jae is coming from. I do think they both want the best for eachother just need some more time and growth.
Asel saying ‘maybe its not your child’ while he doesnt have any other sexual partners was such a dumb commentary. But all aside I feel like since Asel fell first the ML is gonna fall harder, I think somewhere along the way Asel is gonna become more indifferent (after a lot of lost hopes and situations) and then the ML is gonna start the chase (just a hunch).
I think he mentioned other men just to see his reaction to understand his re intentions
