Maybe the Undertaker knew Ciel's grandmother, Paulina, whos hair was on the Undertaker's chain of death medallions. The German Shiningami mentioned something about Ciel's ancestors at the end of the Green Witch arc.

I just finished this entire manga in a day after putting it off for who knows how long. It's my first time reading something by CLAMP, and I know it says Tragedy, but I'm honestly afraid to read Cardcaptor Sakura now. If it's this angsty, I don't think I'll survive the feels. ╥﹏╥
Don't worry, although most of clamp works have an element of tragedy, CCS is not one of them I think or.... Well, the point here is that CCS is a beautiful story, you can miss something really good. If i were you I'd give it a try n_n
Yeah. I just marathoned CCS yesterday, and realized that it was Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles which had the angst :/ I did enjoy Cardcaptor Sakura a lot :)
