i'm 98% sure it's not Higashi Sengoku-san no Make-up Doll.

all i remember is that the fl is 'plain' who doesn't wear makeup. she met the ml when she passed by a cosmetic store, and the ml help her with makeup (he works there). if i remember correctly, he specifically complimented the lipstick/lipgloss. eventually, the fl builds up self confidence with the help of the ml. please help

basically, the plot is a single mother who works under like fbi type of stuff (fl) with a daughter who has a childhood best friend (ml). if i remember correctly, they don't meet again until later years — the ml is an aspiring police office or he already is (i forgot). to cut the story short, they got together after bit of drama about age gap. There's a side story which is about the fl's daughter and another friend (enemies to lovers). SOO, I GENUINELY CAN'T FIND IT SINCE MY READING LIST IS WIPED OUT. please help me out
