It is a common unspoken rule for scanlators not to snipe projects that are already taken. But since this is mgg, project sniping has become a thing.

When on these sites it's usually considered an annoyance to see multiple uploads of the same chapter with varying degrees of quality for readers and uploaded. Right now it may also have an added complexity of, quality or speed.
This is also where I think most of the etiquette also comes to play, people taking time and resources to freely provide something they really like. It's best to avoid something that looks like it is consistently updating as it could be seen as trampling someone else's efforts. Personally I got nothing against either. When you grow up when there was no big rules and there's a work that had 4+ different uploaded that either started from the beginning or picked it up you get used to just memorize the chapter number and return to the table of contents to find the next one.
Further down is more stuff I ended writing when thinking about this, as from a reader perspective.



Icarus provides the official stuff when they are translated and gets out, but Shi got the ability to be faster due to being the one to translate the raws that are already out there. The official translations probably got the added benefit of a team that completely specializes in translation and clean up. Scanlation teams are great too however here it is clear that they are just starting out and it started as something they translated just for themselves but shared. As a team grows so does the quality of the translated work.
Officials stuff is nice on the eyes and has the added benefit of being something that you can get yourself and benefits the orignal creator. Icarus on mgg is a name that pops up on multiple works as they are going out of their way to purchase and share out of the goodness of their heart.
Scanlations can be to if the team is good but at the same time it's has history connected to it as most people experience with online foreign reads can be traced back to some scanlators who were passionate about a work that they wanted to share it in their own language as it was impossible before. I assume that the Shi team probably will either take down any of their own works they deem inferior(as said in the translator notes) or upload what they have and move on.

I know, people have mental issues and inferior complex. If you want official translation go to official website?! Why people become entitled to transition?! If you are "incharge" of the official, just keep posting. How does fan translation is bothering you, when it's already on chapter 13. Who wants to sit and for months for translation, they will sit and wait officials. And people, who doesn't want to wait will read it anyway

Icarus had not uploaded a new chapter in more than 2 months until yesterday, Shi put out 2 great quality translations in 3 days. It can be rude if someone is releasing chapters consistently and someone else uploads over them as it wastes their time, but if they're not regulary uploading or it's inconsistet then I don't see the problem for someone else to put their own good translation while waiting for the offical, if Icarus wasn't rude about it they also could talk to Shi in dm's and take on the project together with shi doing fan translations until officials come out

Yep! Very rude, when you are just "copy and paste" translations from official websites, where is a fan translation - put an actual effort to translate the manhwas.
Plus this is illegal website, to honest official translation shouldn't have priority over fan translations. For that we have official websites, where official translation won't be treated as afterthought
