I wish nothing but the most vile ending for that women. Evey chapter, every speech bubble, every interaction, and every mention i want nothing more for her then just to be tortured and meet the worst end. Like shit from the little girl to the mc hell and distriction have been met due to her. I hate her beyond words. Sigh okay I'm done going to read my other updates.
I don't like the fact that the MC cared enough to try to run away with her sister but never actually explained the real reason. She knows full well that the name Paula is the source of the danger. she isn't using a fake name for no reason. Even before the maid was murdered, she already knew that name could get her killed, not to mention now her sister yet still hasn't actually communicated that but still wants to run away with her.
What makes it more frustrating is that she never tells her sister she witnessed a murder or that the killer only knew her by the name Paula at the time. Like why not tell your sister that your name is linked to a murder as a sole witness. It feels weird for the MC to care so much yet leave out the most important information.
Even if her sister still chose to stay, at least it would be her own fault because she knew the actual risk. Instead she's making a decision without knowing the full truth. They probably had at least ten minutes walking to that marked tree so yeah it's hard to understand why Paula couldn't explain any of this.
It feels more like a writing flaw or a purposeful plot decision than a character decision. If the sister ends up dying, Paula is definitely going to blame herself for not telling her everything, and that's not something I want to see. Especially because it could be prevented but who knows what's to come.
I'm disgusted by way too many things this chapter. I'm tired and just distracted by the absolute audacity of those 2 who came. Who trys to recruite somebody who's already affiliated with a guild AT A FUNERAL FOR A DEAD AND VERY PROMINENT FIGURE l!! you deserve nothing but dead.
Rip ml mom she for sure deserved a better funeral and security. I'm just saying can they not kick them out? Guards would have been had them removed. Also the mc still deciding to engage when that one dude walked in was wild. I would have just stood there with disgust. Audacity is what chapter 40 should have be called.
Another person who reveals their guilt to the stand in rather then the og Penelope. Its sad and bittersweet. rabbit man put his soul on the line to fix his wrongs not to mention everyone elses to give Penelope the chance to change the timeline the damage he and others allowed but her soul didn't make it. Now our fl is in turn hearing of how he was Penelopes real and truely the best person and ride or die that she never got to know about. Yeah author cooked Hella well. Does that mean og Penelope could have fallen in love with rabbit man? We know the mc is in love with the crown prince but that doesn't mean the og Penelope would have been. It's sad to think she may have been able to fix all that's happened and even end up with rabbit man if she survived and got far enough. Yet another heart to heart meant for og Penelope she'll never hear.
