Baek-hee has been getting raped and manipulated for lord knows for how long by whatever his name is (i truly forgot) and been feed lies that he's the only one he can protect Baek-hee. Just because Baek-hee has someone on his side that isn't cruel or manipulative doesn't mean he'll go to Yang Il-woo immediately nor does that mean he has to trust him. For all he knows he can be just another abuser, Baek-hee is the one to decide if he wants to be helped although its annoying to see him still stay by the side of his abuser.

I think you should read the prequel Lover Boy to be able to understand the whole story and Jaeha's character.
Eh.. He didn't say that though. The panels portray different events. I myself haven't read the whole Lover Boy but in this chapter I could infer that they were toxic to each other. Hanjoon liked Jaeha but Jaeha only used Hanjoon as an escape. Since they were going nowhere Hanjoon was fed up with being at his beck and call, but still couldn't push Jaeha away. Dunno what happened before and after the sexual assault. That's something I've been curious about too but Lover Boy annoyed the heck outta me so I dropped it.
Have you read Lover Boy. Jaeha was sleeping around, he's a toxic mutherf*cker (sorry Lover Boy's fans, I really hate Jaeha character so much). Anyway Jaeha was sleeping around & drunk all the time. He wasn't raped, he does that to run away from his problem. Lover Boy really is a frustrating story & Jaeha is annoying. The only thing I like in Lover Boy is Baek Hanjoon. Love his character from the start. That's why I love Sparkling Baby, Hanjoon definitely deserve every bit of happiness

The story is pretty good if you understand how grooming, manipulation, sexual abuse and getting abused in a workplace works! Don't get me wrong its not perfect but I like how the co workers knows whats going on (although they think its just bullying) but keep quiet and don't do anything. And how they show how ML knowing something is going on(deeper than just bullying) and instead saving him he let's Dowon know that he can call out for help.
You can't save someone who doesn't have the confidence or have been conditioned to just take said abuse for years. They need to call out help themselves by realizing they actually have someone willing to help them. I understand why someone would say its sexualizing rape and id agree tbh but i do like how we get to see how their relationship was and see Dowon's thought process after years of abuse. (But honestly we can just see that before said sa happens n after)
The fault of this story is story is a bit annoying to see, like with the issue of how the ml is a creep himself with stalking and all that and also how the manager and the cousin are the side couple...like okay ig?(rapist deserves love too for some reason??/j /src)But im a bit curious on how that would go? And the fact Dowon is always attracts creeps of some verity, its very...y/n x everyone likes them. Lol. But um yeah I think the story is pretty good hopefully they don't drag it to the point it starts to get fetish-ee. Sorry for this yap glup!

Yea it’s lowkey weird but ughhh the story was so damn good but most fans I read from said they just head cannon the two to be 18 and 23 so it’s less weird to imagine about considering their canon age bc aurora does NOT look 15 and natori looks/ acts really young for a 25 y/o aurora definitely looks to be 18 and so does some of the characters which makes me question why they’re around 15-16 when the writers could’ve done their age closer to adulthood like college theme yada yada
